I was extremely satisfied with my very relaxing couples 90 min massage. The key was to communicate my preference and respond when the masseuse ask you about pressure and intensity. The massage included traditional massage as well as reflexology, and acupressure. It was my first time getting a hot stone treatment and it was surprisingly and amazing. The masseuse are skilled and hardworking. At times I dozed off and enjoyed being worked on from head to toe. I have had many massages and glad I found this place off the strip. I feel my husband and I got to spend quality time in a relaxing setting. The location is off the strip but well worth the trek for the great value and professional way in which I was served. I will be back and highly recommend this spa.

First, the positives: They honored the Groupon price in person without having to buy a Groupon & the front desk lady was pleasant and friendly.

The rest: I purchased a 90 minute Deep Tissue Massage. The walls are thin and I could hear every conversation being had in the place. I told the massage therapist at the beginning of the massage that my right shoulder was sore. I asked her to spend a little extra time on it - this is why I booked the massage in the first place. She confirmed what I said, so I know it wasn’t lost in translation, but she proceeded to go through the full massage without touching that part of either shoulder. I also asked her for more pressure TWICE during the massage. She said ā€˜ok’, then just kept with the same medium touch. Mind you, when I booked, I asked for deep tissue too. Lastly, if her touch wasn’t light enough, she layered on 3 towels/sheets/blankets on top of me for most of the massage (except for when she used the oil/stones). I understand keeping the customer’s body covered so as not to expose genitals, etc., but 3 layers?! I could barely feel the massage through that. I can’t imagine she could feel any knots or tightness through all of those layers, so how was she to know where I needed more work? Also, the therapist didn’t bother to meet me in the lobby after my massage, as is customary. The front desk woman was there to give me water and accept the tip. (Yes, I still tipped $33 - definitely more than she deserved, but less than I would have tipped if I had gotten a better massage)

This wasn’t my first time to Aloe Spa, but it might be my last time. I’ve never had a massage therapist ignore everything I said before and provide such a subpar experience. My shoulder is still sore. My body is still sore. I wasted my money and 90 minutes of my day.

For what it’s worth, I thought about this overnight before posting a negative review, as I know businesses like this depend on their reviews. I was still frustrated this morning. I wish I got the ā€˜therapist’ name, so I could caution future patrons to avoid her,...

I recently visited Aloe Spa for a couples massage on Christmas Day, and overall, it was a mixed experience. First, the positives: the spa was clean and had a soothing ambiance, complete with relaxing music and a calming fountain. The staff was kind enough to fit us in for a couples massage, which we appreciated, especially on Christmas. We used a Groupon, paying $96 for the service, which felt like a fair deal initially. The location, while not in a sketchy area, is in a more run-down part of town. It didn't affect the spa's cleanliness or overall vibe, but it's something to keep in mind if you're not familiar with the area.

However, the massage itself was more of a rubbing experience rather than a proper massage. It didn't have the deeper therapeutic qualities I was hoping for, and it felt more like light strokes rather than actual techniques to relieve tension or stress.

After the session, we left a tip of $25, which was more than 20% of the price ($19.20). We felt it was a fair tip for the level of service we received. However, when we tried to leave, the staff counted the tip and pointed to a sign indicating a higher expectation for gratuity. They made us feel uncomfortable by suggesting the tip wasn't enough, and my boyfriend ended up giving another $20, effectively raising the tip to about 50%. This felt quite unreasonable, especially considering the massage was not of the quality that would warrant such a high tip.

In the end, the experience was disappointing because while the atmosphere was pleasant, the massage itself was underwhelming, and the forced tipping was frustrating. I won't be returning due to the pressure placed on us...

Worst massage I've ever had. I get massages monthly at home due to an old lumbar injury that over time had developed into osteoarthritis, and when visiting a friend in Vegas we decided to get massages as both of us were feeling tight and definitely needed one. We arrived early to fill out paperwork but there was none. They brought us back just before our scheduled time, didn't have us fill out anything, and neither of the therapists asked us any questions about special areas to focus on or to avoid. The gentleman who worked on me was very rough, with quick, sloppy movements, squeezing rather than massaging, and several times when using his elbow raked over my rib bones and across my vertebrae with his elbow which hurt and made me jump. I asked him to lighten the pressure, which his coworker had to translate for him, and to his credit he did. When he used a warm towel to wipe away the oil, he scrubbed my back so roughly it felt like he was scrubbing down a dirty table. He also yanked on my ankles and did a sharp up and down motion like he was flicking a rope, which jarred my lumbar area and really hurt. He never checked in on pressure or anything, there was almost no communication from the therapists at all. All in all a terrible experience. My friend's experience was similarly disappointing. Will not...
