Horrible hotel! I arrived around 10:30pm of Jan.31.25. Single old lady travelling alone. The room was dusty, I immediately started to sneeze. I tried to lay down on the bed and right there next to the pillow: Hair! It looked like cubic hair. ! Gross Disgusting !|I was exhausted and I didn't want to be changing rooms. I ended up grabbing a blanket and putting it on the sofa and trying to lay down there. i didn't sleep at all. I slept like 2 hours. Be up for another 2 and go back to sleep another 2. ! The refrigerator was dirty too. I put some water and it was dirty. And then the next morning I went to complain with Manager, nobody wanted to take responsibility. They sent a staff member to corroborate what I had stated. The hair was still there . The refrigerator was still dirty. I went to drink some coffee!! Disgusting ! It looked like tea of how dissolute it was! I showed it to them. They said the manager Henry will call me later on that day on Jan. 31.25. I called back again at 10:00 am . They said the manager had flu and didn't come to work. I told them I need to talk to the manager. They said he would call me. TOday is February 7, 2025 , I just called the hotel, I talked to Nancy. She stated: "Oh the manager just came to work two days ago bc he was sick, but now he is working Night shift. " I am completely disappointed. Not only my experience was awful, but the worst thing to do to a customer is NOT TO FOLLOW UP!||I just called Choice and presented a complaint! If you like clean rooms and clean food! Do not go there. I have stayed at many Comfort Inn and Comfort Inn Suites, this hotel is a degrade for Choice Hotels .||I am trying to add a picture. But it is...
Read moreNice hotel and the front desk agent was friendly BUT I arrived in the evening to find out my room (WITH a reservation) had been given away! Hotel was booked solid & I was informed they switched me to a room type I hadn't reserved. No choice but to take it or sleep in my car. Was told entire area was booked due to Hall of Fame events.
My new room didn't have a fridge or microwave. The one I booked did. I had food and beverages with me. In addition to my spoiling food, there was a HUGE stink bug on my ceiling. Unfortunately, the front desk didn't have bug spray so the agent sprayed him with cleaning solution. She got him which I appreciated but then the room smelled of cleaner...and not a lemon scent either.
The front desk offered a discount on the room but I opted for rewards points instead. Apparently a big mistake! I was supposed to receive 15k points for my inconvenience. This was on 8/5. I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED THEM and it is now 8/28!
The next morning, the front desk manager, Melinda, apologized and said she switched my room because she thought I was travelling alone and it'd be ok. Whether I'm alone or not, doesn't negate what I reserved. Why did she not call to get my ok?
I spoke with the GM, Jim Snyder, who assured me the points should show up no later than 8/19. I told him I'd give them additional time since I was going on a business trip until 8/21. I called on 8/25 and left him a voice message that I still hadn't received them and to this day, I have not received a call back...
Read moreThe hotel was filthy. There were brown stains running down the bathroom walls, the floors were disgusting, the pillows were dirty, and the hallway smelled like a combination of bad air freshener and pot. At breakfast, there were no plates, the trash was overflowing, and there was no one to help. When I tried to find my own plates, the area where the food was microwaved was disgusting. There is no way it would meet any code for food safety. I opened the cupboards beneath the area where the food was served to look for plates, and found open cereal bags and cereal spilled everywhere in the cupboard. The receptionist who checked us in was condescending about quiet hours and my children. She explained that she was in no mood to have to chase children down and return them to their parents. Then, I stopped at the front desk to ask a question unrelated to quiet hours, and she told me that she was sorry it was quiet hours, and no one was in the common area. Our friends who were staying also had to request another room because there was a huge yellow stain on their comforter. We had a similar experience at the Comfort Inn in Sandusky, Ohio last summer. It is safe to say that I will never ever stay at or recommend a Comfort Inn again!! I plan to call the corporate office to file a formal complaint, and I have also considered calling the health department. It was absolutely disgusting in both places, and the company should be ashamed to collect even a dollar from unknowing patrons....
