Went there to get a laptop they had the best best price for the one I was looking. Walked in started talking to Patrick and checking me. I asked can i slit the payments on two cards. told me yes ran one of my cards for $450. then told me there was a problem with splitting it now. Said ok thinking that the $450 was not going to be coming out of my account. But i was wrong. So I had to put $700 on on a different card. Asked Patrick about how long will it take for him to have it done. He told me it could be done tonight or sometime to in the morning thought that was odd when i double payed for it at 3:07 pm time stamp from my recreate. About 5:30 i got email saying that it was ready. Drove over to get. For Patrick to tell me that it was not. He said something like they send emails per step and he will leave notes for the people in the morning to call me. so i had to leave because they were closing ( at 6 pm). I called them about noon to see what was going on. the guy i was talking to was helping as much as he could. but kinda hinted that i would have to wait for the it guy to get there at 2:30 pm. To him that I'm not wanting to wait 24 hours to get my computer and he was understanding. keep putting me on hold to talk to the manger. i was ok with that so i could get my stuff. never understood why the manager couldn't speak with me. He told me that he was going to look at the note to see if he could find anything, said nothing was there. But the best part was when he told be that my computer was done the hole time. NOW if someone spent $1,150 I would have called them in the morning. as some one that has ran a store your telling me that the morning team doesn't check and see what is done from the...
Read moreI would give zero stars if the option was available. This is by far the worst Office Depot I have ever experienced. When I walked in I asked where the binders were and was informed. Shocking. When it was time to check out I saw two employees where I believed was the check out line in which was actually the printing section. After about a minute of standing in the wrong line I realized she was not checking him out. Then I asked the employee who was helping the man in front of me if this was check out and she said no, reached for her small, black speaker and told her fellow co-workers they need assistance at check out up front. She never pointed me to the check out counter, she never said someone will be up here to help you shortly, she never said just a moment and I will get you some help. She continued helping the customer, which at that point I almost simply put the products down and walked out of the store. Another employee starts walking to the front of the store as if she were in her own world, with this absent facial expression with no consideration to anyone's time. I am not insinuating people who work in customer service must be super bubbly, but when the customer service is poor enough that I believe I should write a review speaks for itself. A less than five to ten minute trip into Office Depot turned into twenty five minutes due to lack of effective employee skills and training, lack of putting customer's needs first and lack of attentiveness.
I will never visit this location again and I would not step foot in the store again if...
Read moreI had a problem with an overcharge on some printer ink. What I ordered as displayed on their webpage (price) vs what I was charged was a difference of over $15.00. I didn't realize the overcharge until later in the day. (It was an "in-store" pick-up (mask required) so i didn't hang around after the quick sale.) I called the store about the overcharge (and explained what happened) but I was told by a member of the staff something about needing to ask for a price check before the sale or something like that. It wasn't making any sense what I was being told--at that time. The store manager was not in so that route was out. I was also told to contact the on-line sales using the webpage "chat" or phone. I did that but was told I needed to contact the store. I was about to give up and file a price gouging complaint with the Texas AG's office but decided to try to resolve the issue one more time with the store. I called the store again but the store manager was not in. However, this time the well informed and friendly staff person (after hearing me out) said she'll get one of the section managers to help me. The section manager told me to come in and my account will be credited for the overcharge, and it was. I appreciate dealing with a staff person who's willing to hear out a complaint or issue. I don't remember the staff person's name that helped me by hearing me out then contacting a section manager--Elizabeth. Thank you both for a...
