Be prepared for the automatic gratuity. Overall, my experience at this venue was quite positive, though there are a couple of areas for improvement. While the service and experience itself merit a 5-star rating, there is a notable issue regarding the mandatory gratuity. This addition to the price, not disclosed on the website despite my thorough search, was somewhat disheartening. While I intended to tip for our party of 16 kids regardless, it's important for businesses to be transparent about additional charges, as some patrons may have budget constraints.
Regarding the pizza options, there seems to be a discrepancy in portion sizes. For a party of 15 kids (plus accompanying parents), the choice is between three pizzas (18 slices) or ten pizzas (60 slices). This results in either one slice per child or two slices per person if parents also partake. Providing an option to specify the desired number of pizzas on the website would offer greater flexibility in tailoring packages to individual needs rather than 3 or 10. Also, they have no customer service number to call so for any emergency or last-minute issues you have to email them which isn’t the best form of communication in a pinch. Nonetheless, the manager, Sophie, was accommodating, allowing us to add pizzas to our order on the day of the event.
Despite these minor issues, the party itself was a resounding success. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and even the parents were pleasantly surprised by the level of entertainment provided. The opportunity for each child to create their own slime with charms, along with the collaborative crafting experience, was a highlight.
This venue offers an exceptional experience for kids' parties, but prospective customers should be aware of the automatic gratuity, as it is not explicitly disclosed. With a few adjustments, such as offering customizable pizza options online and being more transparent with gratuity, the overall experience could be...
Read morePlease don’t waste your time or money here. We booked a birthday party in the slime room. The host from the very start wasn’t pleasant.(looks can be deceiving). When parents had questions she became very defensive . When she was told her being so dismissive and rude wasn’t necessary, these parents just have questions. She took it personal and canceled the entire party …
it’s understandable establishments have certain rules. But sometimes certain situations are not black and white. The SHUT IT DOWN phrase seems like something the owner backs and even encourages. According to a ton of these reviews. Instead of encouraging your host to shut down events perhaps better training. For example only 30 people are allowed in the slime room at a time. That does not include parents. Simply just being told to leave the slime room and some were told had to leave the building. Rudely stating Rules are rules!!! Let me help you… The fire marshal only allows 30 bodies in that room. That does not include parents. I apologize that was not made clear at the time of purchase. Upon shutting down the party she seemed to enjoy it. To use Any little thing to shut this party down was the goal. Doesn’t like her job? Laziness? Who knows… So disappointing. Rude, unpleasant, unprofessional & not too bright. If not my review please see the other one star reviews. It wasn’t fair. I wish we would’ve looked at these reviews before booking. They all pretty much have the same pattern. And the responses by the owner are quite comical. Their staff is never wrong and they don’t lie. According to her patrons are the liars. & I will not be patronizing this establishment ever again I didn’t get the host name, but I circled her in red in the...
Read moreI honestly was so disappointed in this. We made our reservations for when they opened and apparently they were filming, which would have been nice to know in advance prior to booking. It was very clear that staff was overwhelmed, as one person just set a bowl and spatula in front of my girls without acknowledging anyone and walked away. Another girl came over to provide my girls with instructions and she was kind and patient, which was probably the only kindness we received. I honestly didn’t appreciate that they took the girls and let them add whatever add-ins they wanted when they’re $3 each. They’re kids, they’re not thinking about expenses, so naturally they selected charms, scents, glitter, etc. and we ended up paying over $25 for each child. The photographer was also interacting and kind to all of the kids around us, but seemed to care less about ours. She even bumped into one of them trying to take pictures of someone else and just looked at her like it was my daughter’s fault. Lastly, it was apparent that we were being rushed and as we were cleaning up to leave. A separate staff member told us we needed to leave because our 30 minutes were up. I understand that there are reservations and people waiting, but my daughters were putting their slime into the containers and it was clear that we were packing up our stuff. We had been to the Slimin Good Time (same owner I believe) in Henderson years before and had a great time, but it’s apparent that with the expansion, the customer service is no longer...
