Personally, I had a great experience here. I liked their Facebook page about a year ago and 2 weeks ago on Thursday, April 14, I saw PW Corgi on their FB post. I called the store and see if he still was available and he was! Alex answered the phone and he was able to run my credit to see if I qualify for their puppy financing plan and he called me back as soon as he got the results back within 15-20 minutes. I live in Athens so the commute to Kennesaw is about an hour and 30 minutes and he held the puppy for me till I was able to come to the store that following Monday. Now with that being said, I told all my friends about this adorable puppy I was getting and everyone was excited until I told them where I was getting it. My friends kept telling me don't buy a puppy from there have you seen their reviews? People stand outside and protest this place all the time etc etc. So I did some research on my own, read the reviews on YELP, Google, etc. Now I work in the Restaurant industry and one thing I can tell you is that most people will share their bad experiences over their good experience because good service is always expected. So I was very skeptical about coming here because the reviews were terrible but majority of the reviews were biased and copied and paste. Most people that made these reviews were not customers, most of them were protesters against puppy mills and how they thought Petland in Kennesaw ran their business.
Anyways, I really wanted this puppy and I was going to be in Roswell that day so I stopped at the store to see the dog and I absolutely fell in love with him. He was so full of life and I kept saying there's no way this pup could be sick! Immediately, when I walked in the store Alex was right there and so was a young lady, they greeted me and I introduced myself and Alex went and got the pup. I got to play with him a bit but before I signed any papers, I told Alex, straight up, "I've seen your reviews online, if I buy this dog and he turns out to be sick will I be reimbursed and will my contract be voided? What is the warrenty on this dog?" He answered all my questions and told me about the people outside who protest every Saturday and who they were and why they did it. These group of people don't believe in purchasing puppies from puppy mills, (btw these aren't puppy mill pups) so they protest outside a store. Just like people who protest outside of abortion clinics. So he brought out a brochure of the breeders of where they get their puppies from and at this moment I was like okay, I'm sold. Btw, I also have the name of the gentleman who breeded my pup. In addition, it was a very easy process, I didn't have to put any money down and I was able to walk out the store with my puppy, toys, food, treats, training CD, wee wee pads, vitamins, grooming kit, a huge cage with a bed inside, urine cleaner, leash and collar. Alex gave me some advice about how to take of my pup and what to do and what not do. I was very impressed with the service I got here and btw my puppy is A OKAY! He's a chick magnet and he loves to play with everyone! Never had any issues with him, I did go to an after hour vet just to make sure my pup was okay and indeed he was! I am glad I went here and got my puppy, I don't regret it at all! I would recommend this place to anyone and please, disregard the bad reviews, most of them are made by the same people who are standing outside protesting. If you're interested in the dog, check it out. ** 2016

My Benji, is still alive and well!! He has brought my family and I so much joy! When I first bought him and made this post, at 21, I was a depressed college student needing something to bring purpose in my life and Benji definitely did that for me. Anyways life gets in the way and I had to turn him over to my mother she has been taking care of him along with my younger siblings. Sheâs a chihuahua lover so Benji wasnât her favorite in the beginning but heâs definitely the alpha dog in the house now and the household favorite! Thank you Petland for such...
Read moreI would strongly recommend not purchasing any animals from the Petland at Kennesaw. Your business is not appreciated and once the purchase is made company loses all integrity. The representative Rian mislead us and sold inaccurate information. We were told puppy is completely hypoallergenic due to being mixed with poodle (false, my son had an asthma attack the following day and vet verified this was false) comes with free first year vet services minus spaying (false, you have to purchase pet wellness plan with My Pet's Vet) , two weeks of puppy training on Zoom (false, only 2 days) and a lifetime warranty (conditional, you have to continue purchasing their vitamins every 3 months).
The truth didn't reveal itself until the provider services made initial contact with us. The most disappointing was at the first vet appointment. We provided the flyer Rian circled to show what she was stating was true " never pay exams or vaccinations fees and receive FREE services or deep discounts on most services". Vet front desk shared that was incorrect, we would have to pay for her first vaccination because she already received one with PetLand. We could purchase a wellness plan to help with cost. The one selected was an additional $564.00 annually. What was interesting is, the vet stated hearing this misinformation wasn't the first time. There is a known disconnect in what's being told to customers from Petland. A few moments later, I called Petland to express my disappointment about our after purchase experiences. (I would hate for anyone else to be taken advantage of or deceived) and was told not to worry, the Regional manager would call and resolve issue. Regional Manager, Lauren did not nothing. She stated Rian denied claims (false- when Rian told my mother and myself the same information on different occasions). Nor did Lauren hold Rian accountable or try to accommodate the situation. Lauren was asked to call me. She hasn't returned my phone call. You are probably wondering why haven't I contacted corporate. When asked about their corporate office, customer service representative manager informed me Kennesaw Petland is a franchise so, there's no corporate office to contact and investigate. Lauren is the highest level.
End of the day, it is very disheartening to know I am forced to deal with a low standard company that's misleading and doesn't care about how I was sold puppy. Because, if I return the puppy I will lose more money (25% rehoming fee), traumatize my son (who was there and has waited 5 years for a puppy), and the puppy (finally adapted to her new environment). I care about the puppy's well-being too. So, I can't just take her off of the vitamins and food she has been taking from Petland.
Please heed my warning and be careful. Don't get trick like my family. Be mindful and don't allow your love for animals to be taken advantage of. There are very knowledgeable company's who care about the quality of pets AND how business is conducted. Imagine if Rian sold to a family who couldn't afford to pay the unexpected pet cost or medical bills that have occurred from my son. Choose a company that stands behind their customer service even after the purchase. Animals are a lifetime commitment you want the right partners. If Petland decides to do what's right I will update my review. If not, you see what type of company you...
Read moreI came in on Sunday with both my kids after researching and looking for a specific puppy for a year. I never thought I would buy from a pet store but I walked in and found my puppy who was going home with me yesterday.
After being there and bonding with out golden-doodle for 30 minutes, I was so in love with him that the ridiculous price tag of $3000 didn't even phase me. I was sold.
I called my husband, told him to bring our other child up to meet our new baby when suddenly a tall, thin man approached us and demanded to know why we were holding that puppy. I said excuse me, the kind lady keeping us gave him to me. He practically yanked my puppy out of my hands and said well this dog is sold you shouldn't have ever been holding him.
Then in front of me and my children he scolding the very good sales lady who had been helping us and walked away with my puppy.
She apologized and quickly disappeared into the back. just as we were leaving deflated and with two very upset kids I spotted the lady with my new dog. I stopped to say how pretty he was and she said yes, we were here earlier today and just couldn't get him out of our heads. My sales associate then approached to apologize for his behavior. She said he had no business doing that and was very kind and tried to get us to look at another puppy but by then I knew if I was leaving with my puppy, puppy adventures were over for the day.
I will say our sales last was very good, she handle led the situation well whereAs the man who ripped the puppy out of my hands did not. It turns out he's worked there for a while and this is his MO. If he sees a return customer he goes and gets the puppy, even if it's already found a new home living and saying he had a deposit on the dog and flipped his card. Bad business and shame on Petsland for allowing this employee bullying behavior in front of customers.
Now, on the bright side this actually turned out better because once I got halfway home and the shock on my dream dog being stolen out from under me and my children, I had time to read the reviews and think about the price to realize I had lost my ever freaking mind to pay $3000 for a puppy!!! What was I thinking!! Thank god that awful man decided to be a manipulate jerk right at that moment, he saved me years of feeling like I got ripped off and from all the reviews on Yelp, a...
