Sugar...on a corn dog? Caveat emptor here, for sure. But I'll get to that later.
I waited almost a year for this place to open and have very much looked forward to it. We went on a Sunday evening and it was packed...line around the whole restaurant. Returned the following week on a Saturday at noon and there were only three people in line.
The filling of the corn dogs is problematic. There's a hot dog, a cheese stick, a spicy sausage and then there's the half one thing, half the other thing ones. So many options...the ordering felt like an AP exam.
And they put sugar on them. In their defense there is an option to not have the sugar put on them, but it's on small print and not asked about while ordering. The first bite was quite a surpise. Also the spicy hot Cheetos one? Not terribly hot or spicy.
The batter is also quite thick and sweet. Also like a cake batter...with a hot dog in it somewhere. Between the hot dog and the batter and the potato wedges seemingly glued to the outside...the whole thing is a bit of a textural mess. Probably good mukbang fodder, though, if that's your jam.
The kimchi fries were the star of the show but at almost $5, I'm not sure they are worth it.
Presentation, cleanliness, and uniqueness are all there. And I'm sure they will be successful. What they do, they do well. I just don't like what they...
Read moreWe finally visited this location and was disappointed. It was our first time having Korean Corn Dogs.
Service- We reviewed the menu and went to order. The lady at the front kept getting our order wrong. After we ordered 3 corn dogs, a Boba Tea and got our total of $24 and paid, my husband noticed a sign off to the side that said a box of 5 Corn Dogs was $21. I was upset because I felt the cashier should have informed us of that special. She knew we were new. Where the sign was on the counter, no one would notice immediately. I didn't say anything. Just accepted the unfortunate loss.
Food- •I ordered the Crispy Rice Dog without the Ketchup/Mustard. I personally did not like it. Neither did my husband or our daughter. It tastes like overcooked oats to me. •My husband had the Potato Dog and I actually like that one better than mine, but I only wanted one bite. He didn't care for it. • Our daughter had the Two Hands Dog and did not like it at all. She thought the potato dog was good.
All in all, we won't go back because it is not for us. But I recommend people try it to see if it...
Read moreIt’s so bad, I wanna give you a zero. But that’s not possible, so I give you, a ONE. Seriously this place is so ridiculous. The minute I walked in I felt the bad vibes from this place. The Korean lady lady forgot to give me my drink after I asked for it repeatedly, in a nice manner too, yet she treated me with disrespect while giving me my drink after I waited long for it. Not only this lady was being so rude, but a Asian guy in the orange shirt was eyeing me so rudely the whole time I was there, he was just staring making me extremely uncomfortable. I noticed I was not the only one treated poorly, I saw a group of girls were treated very rudely by the Asian guy in the orange shirt. I have no idea where this behavior and attitude from these workers come from, but this is absolutely ridiculous. If you wish for people to come back to your business, treat them with respect, or else you lose customers. Never going back. HORRIBLE customer service, HORRIBLE atmosphere, WILL be reporting. DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE. Go at your own risk, I...
