My fiance and I went into Raymour and Flanigan looking to narrow down what type of mattress we were going to buy. As usual we walked in the door and quickly tried to shuffle by any sales associate that wanted to give us their sales pitch. A woman named Katie greeted us and appeared to be offended when we paid little to no attention to her at the door. She directed us to the mattress section and came over to us once or twice to give us little tips about the store. Shortly after I could see Katie and other sales associates gathering in a little circle, obviously talking about us as we jumped from bed to bed (making mattress shopping even more awkward than it already is!). Katie and her gossip team of sales reps left us alone for our time in the store and the manager Ben Duval eventually came over to assist us after a while of trying out different beds. Ben was very polite, helpful, and careful not to be too intrusive. He offered lots of good points and direction when making a decision about a mattress. Couldn't have been happier with Ben's professionalism! As for his team of sales associates- they couldn't have been more catty and rude. I felt like I was back in 7th grade when I saw them all huddling in a circle talking about my fiance and I. The part that made me feel the most uncomfortable was when my fiance and I were leaving. I walked by a dinning room table and the dishes and glassware caught my eye. I proceeded to make eye contact with one of the men staring at me as if he was a hungry wolf that just spotted a steak. When I said excuse me to him (because he was also staring at me) he looked away as if he didn't notice me. I repeated "excuse me" one more time and without looking at me he said.. "Katie will help you" in a sarcastic tone. When I asked Katie where to find the glassware on the table this rude male associate interrupted Katie and interjected his response. Teaming up on customers to talk about them and disrespect them in such an immature way is no way to welcome business. I will definitely be buying a memory foam mattress elsewhere, your associates...

The saleswoman named Malika Baines was nice but.......
The experience was a nightmare. We came in Friday 12/28 in search of a bed. WE found a bed that we loved. I asked her if the bed was in stock, and she said they had the bed in the back of the store. She told us that she could guarantee we would get next day delivery if we purchased. I had questions about the bed features and warranty in which she was not either trained on or just didn't get it. So, we decided to sleep on it, which gave me time to find out the answers to my questions. WE go back the next day to purchase the bed from the young lady as we told her we understood commission compensation. WE see her on Saturday and the first question I ASK Her is "Do you have my bed in stock" and she said Yes in the back with a convincing smile, then I asked, "We will have it tomorrow correct?" and she says stating if we bought it on Friday, we would of already had it...jokingly. NOT FUNNY. But anyways we go thru the stressful check out process in which Malika needed assistance to make sure everything was signed properly (again training issues). The store felt like it was 100 degrees inside, way to warm. Next day I get a text stating we won't receive the bed till Tuesday. This made us very upset as this is why we purchased it for the next delivery. I called to cancel order at the 800# they had Malika call me. Wow, she trying to explain the bed had to come from somewhere else (new york) which infuriated us as we were lied to. She said that we could not cancel the order all sales are final. After going back and forth the manager finally steps up to explain the situation. Her offer was an insult compared to the way the situation was handled. I asked 3 times about the next day delivery which didn't happen.
I will never recommend purchasing from...
Read moreBuyers Be Ware!!! I've been a loyal customer of Raymour and Flanagan for decades spending thousands of dollars. Saturday, June 3, I went into the Wilmington location at 1400 Rocky Run, DE, to purchase a Mattress under the 72 month 0% interest promotion advertised on TV. I should have known it was to good to be true, this advertisement lures you in. After going through testing several mattress and adjustable base, when it came time to finalize the purchase me being a loyal customer, again about to spend thousands. I asked the Sales Associate, for several purchase incentives of course she had to get Management approval. They then stated the promotion excludes sales items, and offered me 18 months financing, which I declined. My response was I only came in because of the 72 month advertisement. After, leaving the store, I later contacted the Sales Associate to present another incentive which we agreed on. Tuesday, June 6, I went back to finalize the purchase. After giving some thought, I made a slight adjustment to the incentive presented on Saturday they wouldn't adhere to. We went back and fort; it was like buying a car from a car dealership the Sales person going back and forth with Management. After several negotiations we did finalize the purchase.
