The seating is convenient if you purchase tickets online and go to Customer Service for, "Will call", tickets. Some members of our party qualified for discounts; the representative was courteous and showed no hesitation when asked if the discount would apply. Our family went to the RPX theatre, but we have been to the standard theatre, as well. The RPX does cost ~$5.00 more per ticket, but the inner theatres are comparable. Except, the RPX screen seems larger and as if it's curved. I feel like the view is just for me in my own home. The sound is a VERY high-definition quality. I wear earplugs because I'm sensitive to sound, and whether a whisper or a shout, I hear EVERYTHING. In the RPX theatre, I forget I'm in a room full of people! The inner theatre is very comfortable and well insulated from sounds outside of the theatre. The temperature is cool and comfortable, which was a nice contrast from the heat and humidity outside and the moderate temperature while standing in line. People who cannot tolerate Cool temperatures, ~70°F to 72°F, might wish to bring a light cover. The attached individual trays keep everything within reach, and ALL cup sizes fit the cup compartment. The recliners are very comfortable and spaciously arranged. There were no cartoons, but there were trailers with the lights on low so there was a relaxed atmosphere as people found their seats. The relaxed atmosphere inside the theatre is nice because if your getting snacks at the concession stand, you have a large standing crowd and elevated volume. The concessions are pricey, but the large refillable containers (soda & popcorn) seem comparable to other cinamas except the cups are larger and don't require refills mid-movie. The light dinner entres are made fresh and are delicious, however, they do take a bit more time (~10-15 minutes) to prepare. If your planning on eating, you might want to be 25-30 minutes early. Your number is called as soon as your food is complete. [A separate pick-up line and a digital number sign might decrease congestion and noise.] Also, there is a lounge with tables which might be convenient for some. All of the employees are helpful and courteous. They do observe safety precautions by checking bags upon entry into the theatre area. I'm not offended, actually, I'm able to relax and enjoy the movie. This is such a great idea! It only takes a minimal of time and effort, and I don't have to worry about my children or me becoming statistics. Our family consisted of adults and adolescents, and we ALL had an...
Read moreI was excited that they had draft beer, and what looked like a good selection at that. Unfortunately I quickly regretted my decision to go over to the bar. 1st I wait a few minutes before I see a bartender(understandable since he came out with an arm full of supplies for the concession stand that was connected by a door), after saying he would be right over to help me, he proceeded to put everything away before coming back to help me. That was annoying but at this point I was still waiting for my friend to show up. He asked me what he could get for me and I told him I'd like to try the mango wheat that they had on tap. His reply" Unfortunately we are allowed to give samples because of corporate policies" I've never been to a place that wouldn't allow you to sample a draft beer and if that's actual policy it is one of the worst I've heard of. While I think it's an ill-advised policy I decide to ask what happens if I order the $11 beer and don't like it. He replies" We can refund you if you don't like it" so you will refund and waste 22oz of beer instead of pouring a small sample? Now I know it's your company's policy but that seems wasteful. I decided to order a beer I've had before and a NA beer for my friend I'm waiting on. The employee proceeds to tell me that he can only sell one drink at a time. This makes sense so I ask if I can order my popcorn from him. There is no else at the bar but he says no. Annoying since I've been to other movie theaters that have that aren't connected to the concession stand and the bartenders have done that for me, but I go and wait in line for popcorn. My friend comes in and joins me inline, when it's my turn the lady asked me if I'm paying by credit card because her line is credit only. There...
Read moreIf you are in the mood for a movie and food. Check this place out. They have a restaurant built into the theater. The best part is you can get your food and drinks and take them into the theater with you and watch the movie. The chairs in the theater are reclining. They are large enough a large man or woman can comfortably relax and enjoy the movie. Each chair has a small table that swings over your lap so you can place your food on it and not make a mess. Each chair has a nice sized drink holder that's big enough that you can put the large drink cups into them and they won't fall out. I love taking my son there to get a burger, fries, soda and watch a movie. Keeps us from having to drive all over town and we still get to spend quality time together. Not to mention right down the road in celebration point is the new Bass Pro Shops. As well as some other shopping in as little walk through area in front of the theater. There is parking enough for a small army including a parking garage if you don't want to come out to a hot car during the hot summer day. If you are looking for a date night. In the little walk through shopping area they have swings, benches, and fire pits that are free for the public to use. So you could get there early get your tickets and then cuddle by a fire before going inside. Or vice versa. Oh, tickets are sold by the seat. Wichita means if you have are large group get there early and get the tickets or you may not be able to sit together as they are really assigned seats i.e. seat G12 or seat C3. You get to chose from the seats that are left over. So once you have your ticket. You are...
