I am deeply disappointed and irritated with the service provided by this store. This will be long. My partner and I were looking for our wedding suits 5 weeks out. Too close for comfort, so we walked in open minded on what could be done for the wedding. Talking to Marc at this store, he assured us we could make it on time. Costumer service was good that day, but sadly worsened every time I had to go back, which was more than should have been. A week and a half after the first visit, we were notification that our suits were ready, we were instructed via text and email to make an appointment so to not wait too long at the store. When we arrived on time for our appointment that fallowing Sunday, we ended up waiting almost an hour before the guy assigned to us could help us. He then told us that even though their system instructed us to do so, they don’t do appointments, and none of the other staff bothered to tell us this when we mentioned it multiple times during that hour. 30 minutes later, we were informed that they couldn’t find one of the suits anywhere, my suit, not even information on what happened after it left for alterations. After 2 hours at the store, we left with one suit and being told they would call us the fallowing day to let us know what happened. It wasn’t until 2 days later that we heard back and I was asked to go back to get fitted again, because they also didn’t keep records of my measurements with the order. I ended up taking time off from work the next day to get fitted yet again. Afterwards, I was told that my suit would be ready by the Friday a week before my wedding, and that they would compensate me for all of the trouble, even though it was a few day later than what I was told by phone, I agreed to it. During that visit, I foolishly decided to ask about shoes, Marc assisted me, and while talking about the shoe price, he said he would “take $50 off from the price, since he couldn’t tell me their price off the top of his head.” I took them, but once I got home and tried them on again, I realized they were still a bit tight even when wearing the proper socks, which I wasn’t wearing when I tried them on at the store. The Friday of the week before my wedding, I didn’t received a notification regarding my suit. When I called to asked, the lady at the store was confused because she couldn’t understand the status from whatever record they kept, and Marc was off. After they finally figured it out, the suit was not done, and I was told they would let me know the status the next day. On Saturday, I got notified and drove to the store for another fitting, I returned the shoes, and the pants needed more alterations, Marc promised they would be done by that Thursday, and mentioned again about figuring how to compensate us once I picked up the suit, cutting close but I understood. To my amazement, the fallowing day, Sunday evening, I was notified that they were done. I took more time off from work and picked it up. Everything went well, but when asked about the compensation that Marc kept mentioning throughout this whole ordeal, he informed me that the $50 he gave me off the shoes would had been it, and since I returned them because they didn’t fit, there was nothing else he could do. After 2 1/2weeks of going back and forward from when I was supposed to get my suit after they lost it, and me having to drive 30-40 minutes to the store 3 times more than I should have needed to, 2 of those times I had to take time off from work, all Marc could tell me was that I had his business card, and to let him know next time I needed something else, that “we would figure something out then.” They have beautiful clothes, but my experience left me absolutely no desire to step foot into this store again. Costumers shouldn’t have to make a fool of themselves by making a scene in public for this place to...
Read moreSuitsupply Dallas is my go-to for custom made suits, trousers, and coats.
I’ve been a customer of Suitsupply Dallas since 2017. From my first visit to Suitsupply to my most recent experience, I continue to be impressed with the high quality garments and impeccable customer service.
No visit to Suitsupply Dallas is ever rushed. Every member of Suitsupply Dallas is very knowledgeable of suit construction, fabrics, and especially fit.
A few years ago, Austin, the custom made specialist at Suitsupply Dallas introduced me to their line of custom made clothing. He made a compelling argument. I could purchase a custom made suit for what I paid for a ready to wear suit with alterations.
Since Austin introduced me to custom made clothing, I ordered a pair of custom made trousers, a custom made overcoat, and a custom made suit from the Perennial collection.
My most recent order was a collaboration between Austin (who now works for Suitsupply corporate) and Christian (a long-time stylist at Suitsupply Dallas). Initially, I was a bit concerned that I would not be satisfied with the fit of a custom made suit given the number of changes that Christian recommended to the base sizes of the jacket and trousers. Austin explained that because the suit is custom made there are more ways to tweak the fit than are possible when altering a ready to wear suit. I was reassured when Austin and Christian agreed on most of the alterations to be made to the base sizes of the suit jacket and trousers. The end result was the best fitting suit that I ever owned.
Suitsupply is unique because of their business model. They buy fabrics directly from fine Italian mills then manufacture the clothing at factories in China. Both the quality of the fabrics and the quality of the construction is exceptional. I am amazed at the consistency of the fit of their garments.
Suitsupply is also unique because every stylist is trained by Suitsupply to know how a garment should fit. Unlike the approach of a traditional men’s clothing store or department, the Suitsupply stylist discusses the alterations with the customer then pins the garments to be altered by the on-site tailors.
If you have never been to Suitsupply you must visit just for the experience. You will be pleasantly satisfied or even...
Read moreI don't know how you can get a $1,000 custom suit wrong twice! I decided to try Suitsupply for the first time, mainly as the wait time for a custom suit was shorter than Indochino (which is where I usually go) and I wanted to ensure that I have the suit ready to go atleast a month before the wedding. I went in for the first fitting, the employee fitted me using a 38 jacket size, which I thought was a bit odd, given that I usually wear a custom 34 size, but I went along with it, trusting the employee.
The suit was ready almost 3 weeks after the first fitting (which was in line with their wait time), it was so baggy to the point where an off the rack suit would've fit much better. There was also a big ugly wrinkle throughout the right side of the jacket. It was messed up to the point where they had to make a new jacket, and alter the pants in house, which is fine. However, the employee tried to casually blame the pants alternation on me losing weight, which wasn't the case. The same employee re-did the fitting.
The second jacket came in 4 days before the wedding, it fit better. However, the big visible wrinkle on the right side of the jacket was still there. The employee was saying that they can't make it perfect due to my body type, even though at the second fitting, he said that the new jacket won't have that big ugly wrinkle. The employee didn't offer any way to rectify the situation or figure out a way to help out. Instead, he kept saying that it will never be perfect due to my body type. I get a custom suit once every two years or so at other places and never had issues.
I ended up returning the suit obviously, and he casually dropped another employee's name asking if I saw him for the first fitting to try and pin it on him, but it was the same employee all three times. Now, I am stuck without a suit to my best friend's wedding, 4 days before the wedding...
We all make mistakes but the employee's inability to own the mistake and figure out a way to rectify it was very disappointing. Overall, very disappointed with the poor and unprofessional service at...
