World Market — Attraction in Dallas

I really enjoy shopping at the Old Towne World Market and I always end up spending more than I had planned.....BUT.......today when I was checking out, I had a rather unpleasant experience. Ok I realize that I am not 30 years old. I am somewhat beyond that point. However, that does not mean that I don't know how to work my own phone. The line behind me consisted of two, maybe three other customers. So there was no big rush. However, when I was looking up my rewards on my phone, I kept getting "coached" by the cashier. "Swipe, don't tap! Go to text, not email! Brighten the screen! That's all the rewards you've got. (It wasn't) Remember, swipe, don't tap!" ....and on and on. If I need your help, I'll ask! And my screen is bright enough! Good Lord girl!! Don't assume that because I'm a senior, I'm tech-stupid!! Seems someone besides me needs "coaching" on giving good customer service no matter what the...

Three days before Thanksgiving and they have a really nice selection of Christmas music on. This is my first visit. Whether you like unique furnishings that provide both decorative and functional characteristics or you enjoy preparing gourmet cuisine from scratch that requires quality imported spices and condiments or just want something that's pretty much ready for the hors d'oeuvre table, it's right there near the helpful staff member. The staff really is helpful and appear to really enjoy working in such an interesting place. It's easy to see why. I bought smoked herring Kipper Fillets from Germany, sardines from Portugal and a World Market white chicken chili soup mix. (Raid the coop for the chicken and you're good to go.) Of significance, the prices on many of the items I shopped for were lower than at my mega-grocery. I'd say World Market kind of does some of the bargain hunting for you....

I went in with Zero expectations and I was pleasantly surprised! I got some really different Housewarming gifts for upcoming events and treated myself to some cool lighting that I hadn't seen elsewhere. They have WINE!!! Great prices and selections as well. A person named Barbara checked me out and was the most beautiful part of my shopping experience. She was absolutely lovely. Great place for a cool gift at a decent price. Plus you don't have to deal with that...
