As many reviewers have noted, this is a beautiful and great little shop but buyer beware. The merchandise is not as high quality as it appears and they stand behind none of it. I purchased a beautiful marble pastry board/cutting board. After less than 30 days of it sitting beautifully on my countertop, I wiped it off and dried it and then it simply fell apart by splitting right down the middle. Clearly it is a manufacturing defect as it was not dropped -- just wiped with soap and water. I contacted the store for a remedy and I was told that they do not guarantee pieces such as marble and there is no way to know what may have caused the damage.
It is pretty evident from the pictures that the piece was not properly put together by the clean split right at the epoxy holding it together. I will shop at stores that stand behind their products especially when still within a normal return period and that have better quality for the price paid.
Follow up: For the record and as stated, it was less than 30 days and I credited you with stating your position, in fact quoting you exactly. It's a shame you are not believing my account of the problem basically insinuating I'm not telling the truth. I could not believe after going in store with only one other couple in there for me to get ready to have spent over $400 when ask if there could or would be any form of a discount she proceeded to be snotty and told me no. When leaving the store she proceeded to say maybe I should just continue to shop at target, like people who shop at target are lowlifes. I will never recommend the store or shop in the store again.    Read moreThis shop is super cute, and the owner was very friendly in the store but not so much out of the store. I bought a pair of leather pants when I got home, I noticed a snag in the pants. Being that they were pretty pricey I was hoping to send the pants back in exchange for another pair or receive a refund/credit. When I called the employee who answered the phone said that I would be able to get a gift card for the price of the pants. I told her I was willing to do this but would like to speak to the owner first (who is only in store on Mondays) to see if there were any other options, since I would not be in town again. She did not give me any information on the exchange nor was I informed of the 7 day return policy over the phone or in store. Even when I called a week later, she said that it was still fine to send them back and I could receive a gift card.
