I am so upset with the Douglasville location. I shop here at least twice a week every week! I got a pair of shoes for a valentines day gift on 2/10/2021 for someone and I was given two left shoes. I decided to take them back today 2/15/2021. I wanted to do an exchange but didn't see anything in my budget I wanted to get. I asked for a manager and was told he was busy at this time the cashier Ashley was telling me she could see if the can give me a pair for the same price as I got the previous pair for of a discount on the new pair I said okay just let me know what he says. So the manager Carlos came over and said no he couldn't give me a discount he can add the amount I paid for to the new pair so I said that's not a discount that's my own money and he said well I can't give you a discount so I said well your employees are suppose to check the shoes at check out for these things and if I would have known it was two left shoes I wouldn't of got them he told me it's the customer job to try them on and check but they weren't for me why would I try them on and the cashier Ashley said well we are supposed to look at them its called L.I.S.A. so at this time he said well ill give you a 10% discount I said no thank you I'll take a refund and he continued to say I can't do anything to hurt my store so I told him I didn't want to talk about it I want a refund so he kept on and I said I was calling corporate on how I was being treated so he walked around the counter and was standing near the key pad and I asked him to move and he said he had to be there for the approval of the return then he pulled out his phone and said he was calling the police and I said I wasn't leaving until I got my money back which is my right to do as well as my right to call corporate and complain as a customer at this time he stayed at the front door the whole time while I was at my car and I felt harassed my 14 year old niece ran to the restroom while all of this was happening and her and my mom did not know what was going on because they were outside waiting on me while this was going on so when I came outside I asked my mom where my niece went and she said yo the bathroom I said well go get her there was a issue I wanna go so when my mom got to the door Carlos told her she couldn't come in when she wasn't even inside when everything was happening she had no clue what was going on he only knew she was with me because he continued to stand at the door when he was no where to be found when I needed him in the beginning I was also told it was Nike fault for the two left shoes. Again I express how upset I am about this I did reach out to Nike about his accusations about the two left shoes I also left a review on this stores page and I am now writing to corporate. Visited the Douglasville location looking for x-mas gifts for my family. Walking through the store I noticed that Columbia outerwear was 25% off. (Only Exclusion Posted Was Clearance Merchandise) The store had several departments the were extremely disheveled, borderlining on trashed. No staff on the floor. I found a Georgia Columbia jacket style pullover (water resistant) a few racks away from the Columbia area. It was prized at $60 dollars originally. So should be $45 after the discount was applied. Of course, it rang up at regular price. When I asked about the sale. I was informed that that item was excluded. The cashier asked another employee and they went to the other side of the store than where I picked up the jacket. They returned and said nope not on sale. I provided the cashier, a photo of the sign, including what was excluded posted on the sign. The cashier was respectful, the 2nd employee was ok not good by any means. I told the cashier that I DID NOT want the jacket. I asked to speak to the manager to advise them that their signage was wrong, misleading, and confused their customers. So they could fix the problem not so they would sell me the jacket at the sale price. The manager was very short with me and frankly she was rude by the end of the interaction. She didn't even listen to me that I was talking about the sinage. Assumed I was demanding the jacket be sold at the discount. I literally said wow and gestured my disbelief and walked out of the store. I did state I'll take my business elsewhere. Unbeknownst to the staff in the last week I have bought over $900 in gift cards for the family business from that Academy and have every year. I will no longer be giving Academy in Douglasville any of my business moving forward. If I could I would return the gift cards, but to my understanding they are non-refundable. It is a udder shame to have your store in such a condition and signs made improperly that leads to questionable circumstances. Then to basically attack the customer instead of taking care of them for something that is completely not there fault is horrible... You lost a lot of business over how you treated me, the condition of your store, your discount advertisements, and that $15.

Read moreMade an online order at 8:15A for a one hour in-store pick up. Card charged. Order not confirmed until 9:50A. Got to the store at 10:40A. Store says order cancelled because item was not in stock. No cancellation message until I was actually inside the store talking to the manager. The only solution I was offered was that I should be dumb enough to spend MORE money to buy an item out of the store. To be clear: I would be buying this item with additional funds not the money they have already removed from my account, thus paying double for an item until the hold drops off my account in 7 business days. Item substitution is not even an option online. Then in order to get the ball rolling on getting access to my money back, I select cancel on the website. The store then sends a message as if I voluntarily cancelled but, who would change from a 1 hour pickup to not receiving an item for a week. Sounds like a bad business practice, a bad attempt to artificially inflate sales and a fraudulent attempt to earn interest on your money before returning it to you AKA banking and sales scams. Management lacked genuine empathy, totally displayed a complete lack of concern and there were no viable and fair solutions offered. My experience was a disappointment on a lot of levels.
