the ✨ perfect ✨ new date night spot in Utah (with the BEST patio dining) 👋 Meet The Pines (formerly known as The Charleston) 📍1229 Pioneer Rd, Draper, UT 84020 💸 $$$ Nestled in the south end of Salt Lake Valley, is one of the most romantic restaurants in Utah — and that is a BOLD statement for me to make. The Pines has it all: a cozy beautiful aesthetic, a phenomenal menu, great service & a really inventive (and delicious) drink menu! From the moment you walk up, you are instantly greeted with an adorable historic home, stunning greenery, cozy fairy lights & bright smiles. I highly recommend making a reservation to sit outside to truly enjoy the beautiful ambiance and unique setting that they have carefully crafted. Of course, you are not just coming here for the aesthetic — you are coming for the FOOD! This is a fine dining spot, so come ready to indulge & truly enjoy. I highly recommend starting with one of their fresh seasonal salads, a fun app like the pesto escargot & a refreshing drink (like the classic gin & tonic or Aperol spritz)! For entrees, you truly cannot go wrong with much but the gnocchi is truly incredible & one of our favorites that we have ever tried (it melts in your mouth & is the chefs mother’s recipe too 🥺). They are constantly adjusting the menu based on all the seasonal options available — so each time you visit you can try something new! All in all, this is truly one of the most romantic spots in Utah & needs to go to the very top of your list for your next date night in utah! It is beyond worth it and such a hidden gem in Utah! 🫶 Thank you for hosting us & sponsoring this video! We will definitely be back soon! Happy Indulging!

(I moved items before I took pictures. I was too excited to eat. They were plated better than they appear.) Food was really good and the service was pretty good overall as well. My only complaint was the bugs. We sat outside and we have to fight off wasps and flys the WHOLE time we ate. Some of that is expected when you eat outside but it was more than normal and you could tell there was a family of wasps living right near the patio and it didn’t seem like much had been done to mitigate that. My only other complaint would be the patio brick felt a bit dirty in places and the furniture was kinda meh. Even with all that said, I’m planning on eating there a lot! I loved the food. Everything we ate was great and comparable to all the other top restaurants that my wife and I love around Utah county.

Absolutely incredible food. Everything was perfect. The service was over the top. Every single person was great. Our server Brett was proactive and was very welcoming. It was better service than I ever received at places like Ruth Chris, Flemings etc. The rest of the staff was incredibly kind and everything was so quick but did not compromise on flavor and quality. The patio is super cute. This is one of the best places I have ever been to in all the years I lived in Utah and I plan on coming on a regular basis.

The entrées were great and we loved the steaks. Service was also great! Unfortunately, The appetizers were pretty disappointing. We got the peach caprese and it was literally just a cut of mozzarella with a peach on top and served with a vinaigrette in the middle. The arugula salad was also very disappointing- the toppings listed on the menu were very sparse or nonexistent on the salad. It did not have any peaches or mint in it. There were about 10 pine nuts and very few pieces of shaved cheese. The arugula salad also had cabbage in it, which was very very bitter and tasted almost sour, and when we told the server about it, they didn’t seem to care too much. If I went back, I would order drinks...

Did you guys change the name and owner? I think this used to be a different restaurant. Food looks delicious but if you guys used to be Charleston 4 yrs ago they were really disrespectful and discriminating with a group of Latin friends celebrating a birthday there. I still remember how the chef was standing by the kitchen door waiting for us to leave with a mad face. For the reservation super strict with dress code and when we get there there was an anglo gentleman wearing pool shorts and flip flops. I’m ok with paying $200 for 2 plates, regular drink and appetizer for me but the way they treated us was...
