Pizza that actually tastes like pizza. I’m a native New Yorker, so coming from me, that means something. Crust was crisp on the outside, chewy on the inside. Wood fired oven adds flavor and cooks pies to perfection. Both the margarita and Donatella were delicious. Decor is is rustic-artsy: exposed brick, a neon PIZZA sign, and a peppering of Sophia Lauren pictures. In NYC this pizza might not stand out from the plentiful pack of outstanding pizzas, but here in Minnesota this place is a diamond in the rough. If you like good food and find pizza in these parts disappointing, here is a beacon of hope. I try to be fair and honest with my reviews, to give information that helps others make decisions & know what to expect. If you appreciate or find this review helpful, please give a thumbs up below.

Nestled into Canal Park is Vita Pizza. They serve neopolitan style pizza and have a variety of pizzas and toppings to choose from. The parking can be hit or miss down here, but we got lucky and had front row parking. I ordered the tomasso and my friend ordered the margherita. The margherita was a bit lack luster and nothing really stood out for us in terms of flavor. The tomasso on the other hand had a nice kick from the crushed red pepper and good flavor from the goat cheese. I would have liked it to be cooked a little longer as well but this is just my personal preference. Neopolitan style pizza isn't always my go to style of pizza but it was filling and left us feeling satisfied!

I ordered 3 pizzas and one children’s pizza with 2 salads. The total was $75:/ I get home with my to go order and realize that none of the pizzas are cooked and they are raw pizza dough! Also we found broken burnt uncooked chunks in a bowl? Are they supposed to be the breadsticks that come with the children’s meal? I seriously have been a customer for many years and have never gotten such terrible food. I called the restaurant and they were kind enough to refund the uncooked pizzas and I only paid for the salad and kids pizza. I had to cook a whole new meal as everyone was starving and we had nothing to eat:/ (we tried to finish the cooking in the air frier and it failed miserably)

My son and I stopped here for a late evening dinner after a long road trip. He stood in line and ordered while I went and held a table since it was limited seating with not much social distancing.

We ordered the special of the day , which was the Margherita, then the Benito and cheesy garlic bread sticks. You pay for your meal and drinks and they call your order number when it's done and you go up and get it.

It's a wood fired pizza Neapolitan-style pizza. Brown airy crust with a New York flop toward the end of your slice. The Margherita, Benito and garlic bread were all very good and as described.

Low top/stool and indoor/outdoor seat. Street parking. Convenient location. Decent service, even though they just take your order then cook your pizza. You do everything else by getting your drinks, getting your own silverware and napkins and busing your own table.

They are a bit pricey and don't throw away your receipt. On the bottom of the receipt is the bathroom code that you will need to traverse the back of the establishment to use the rest room.

I probably would return if I was in the...

Kid Ignorant and Customer unfriendly.

After Seating my children, my wife and I began reviewing the menu board...right in front of the cashier...clearly next in line to order. A group of about 8 teenagers walks in and queues behind us. while discussing the menus items for our children, the cashier starts taking the order of the person behind us. Confused we let him finish...and then attempted to reiterate that we were in line... in front of the 8 people behind us. The ignorant cashier said that we took too long and we can go after the 8 people clearly in line after us...going out the door Into the street.

My wife and I literally stood their discussing the menu for about 2 minutes. Apparently that is ”too long to order” for 5 people.

we took our business to the Green Mill across the street...far better food, prices and wait staff.

I strongly do not recommend this...
