Petco — Attraction in Egg Harbor Township

I have recently started shopping here since we had a new addition to the family, our pet husky. He actually tagged along with us this visit. When we entered the store and we didn't receive any greeting, which is not a big deal to me at all, but I now believe this was sign of what we were about to experience. Me and my boyfriend were looking around the store after picking up our husky's food. When we got to the collars, I noticed we were being followed by one of the store associates, short hair I believe, with highlights. She asked us did we need help, and I politely told her we found what we were looking for, just trying different sizes on our husky. I actually appreciated her for asking since no one spoke to us since then. But for some reason she didn't respond and proceeded to hover over us. She eventually left. My boyfriend went to find a toy, and she continued to hover of him until he reached the register. It made us both uncomfortable and I must mention that we were the only black people in the store during this time. This experience wasn't pleasant at all. The good part is that the other customers in the store were very friendly and welcoming to our husky. It sucks that things like this is still happening. It’s unfortunate that I have to write this bad review. I was already feeling a bit apprehensive about taking my dog to a groomer. Needless to say it was a horrible experience. My little doggie came out looking completely mortified. I didn’t get anything I paid for. My dog was still wet, no bandana, her back paw had blood on it as well. They did not grind the nails. That was my main reason for booking the appointment. They told me my pup was scared. Well, I explained prior to her being taken back that it was her first time ever getting groomed. The guy at the checkin told me it’s going to be ok they were used to handle that type of situation. Clearly, that’s not true. I will never take my dog for another grooming session ever again.
