Ellicott City Historic District — Attraction in Ellicott City

Wow! Just hit the HoCo Visitor Center grand reopening after a remodel and it's stunning! Great exhibits line the walls of this historic post office building and the best part is they have a historian there named Keith who knows everything about the area and tells great stories. Did you know Sam Morse had a workshop in Relay MD. where he set up the first commercial telegraph between Baltimore and DC? Or that the Ellicott City train station is the oldest in the US and one of the oldest in the world?...

I am in love with this Historic District. Every time I visit it I have a great time. Walking around the town is magical. All stores and restaurants have something special to offer. They have several festivals and events during the year.

There are several parking around so even at festivals or special events you can find spots available. At the end of Church Road there is a parking that always has spots, keep in mind that is uphill and not accessible for wheelchairs or people with physical...

This town is a hidden gem. Not sure why it has so few reviews. My all time favorite to bring my guests and friends or just to take a walk.

Consider parking close to Old Mill Cafe and taking a walk in this beautiful historic town. There is free parking next to the Little Market Cafe or Park Ridge Creamery too.
