I visited with my family on a Saturday afternoon. We waited on a long line, which we expected. We placed our order without any problems. We waited off to the side for 10 minutes and then approached the cashier to ask where and for how long we should wait. She said orders take about 10 minutes, and we were welcome to wait there or at the tables on the lower level and come back.
We came back in 10 minutes, but our order still wasn’t there. People who ordered after us went up to the cashier and got their orders. We go back up to the cashier and ask about our order. The cashier is unsure, and we ask for a manager. The manager said they’d remake the order. At this point, 25 minutes of waiting have past and they asked us to wait another 15 minutes for our order. In the meantime, several other guests came up to the cashier inquiring about their MISSING ORDERS and INCOMPLETE ORDERS.
THERE IS NO PAGING SYSTEM. THERE IS NO PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT SYSTEM. THERE IS NO WALL TICKER SYSTEM. If you tell customers to wait on the lower level, and come back and forth to see if our order is there, when there is a loud crowd in your establishment and no name taken for the order, of course we can’t “hear” you. You need a better system for a crowded, multi-level establishment.
Also, there is no way to verify whether the products you take from the counter are actually yours. Anyone can order the same item and take it because they saw if first, not knowing a customer ahead of them ordered that item. Or, someone could not order anything at all, and still walk up to the cashier and take any item that’s on the counter. The “barristers” just place random orders on the counter and hope for the best.
Needless to say, WE WASTED AN HOUR to not receive ice cream or milkshakes. Whenever a customer provides honest feedback, the owner defends the business by saying “we are a small and local business, so how could you say this about us?” BEING A SMALL BUSINESS IS NOT AN EXCUSE for poor customer service and poor organization. Any business, small or large has room for improvement, so please don’t insult your customers by assuming we should only give the best rating, because you are small, local, or new. Use customer feedback to improve, and maybe we will give you another chance in the future.
We will not be back...
Read moreThis must be the milkshake that Kelis was talking about that brought the boys to the yard! This place brings the boys and the girls of all ages to the yard because they are so perfect! Not only can you get any customizable milkshake if you choose, you can pick one of the 20 plus combinations they have already. So many options !! You can get plain ice cream, an ice cream cookie, ice cream cone, etc. There are so many variations of this greatness here!
My brother-in-law located this place on Instagram and we've been dying to try this place since June. Well last night was the night!. It was 8 of us in total, 3 households. We showed up and showed up and showed out!
If you all have been paying attention, I can't do dairy like that! I might can do some toppings with dairy like bits of chocolate but I can't just go hard on dairy. I don't need to go hard on dairy here because they have what I need to keep my body in tact!
The menu is very very descriptive and helpful. In addition to the descriptive and helpful menu, they have employees who can ask answer your questions as needed. Very knowledgeable.
We ordered... Crazy Cup - S'mores the Merrier Crazy Bomb (Vanilla) Crazy Bomb (Mint Chocolate Chip) Milkshake - Short & Sweet Milkshake - Butter My Waffle And off course waters.
When I tell you everything was delicious, everything was delicious! I'm not even big on sweets but I'm big on creativity, customer service and delicious items!
What made this place even greater than the greatness it already provided was they had a huge seating area. Although it was a Wednesday evening, there were more people in there than you would think. It appeared there was a little birthday celebration next to us so we enjoyed singing Happy Birthday to the little birthday princess as we sat there.
I have no gripes with this place and can't wait to return back when my boys are home from college.
Oh my goodness, most importantly! There's a free parking lot right behind this establishment! Yes free! You do not have to look for parking on the hill, you do not have to pay a meter, you just need to park on the parking lot and walk 2 minutes! Totally worth it !!
If my pictures have not encouraged you to Google this place and make plans I don't know what will! Visit...
Read moreThe idea behind this place is great but there were a couple of things that prevented me from wanting to go back. We went on a pretty busy night and waited quite some time to order, but this was fine and expected. However once we ordered we were told we'd get a text that our desserts were ready and this text never arrived until after closing time and we were long gone. I noticed that our shakes were sitting on the counter, no idea exactly how long they'd been there for and the staff behind the counter weren't even sure if they were ours or not when asked. Since they were so busy, it was also impossible to find a table that had been cleaned, as they were understaffed and had nobody cleaning tables. All of the tables were messy because it's impossible not to make a mess with these desserts, especially with the tiny plates they use. The overall space was nice, it was clear that it used to be a theater, and the mural on one wall was neat, but one of the giant walls was completely bare and it seemed like they just didn't quite know what to do with the space in terms of decorating. Not a problem, but it was noticeable. When it comes to the desserts themselves, the non-shake part of the desserts were very good. On the plus side for the shakes, one of our shakes was an oatmilk based ice cream which was very good. The mason jars you get to keep are also unique and a nice touch. On the negative side, in my dessert, the chocolate ice cream tasted bad. I've never had a chocolate ice cream that I didn't like before so I don't know exactly what was wrong, but I was unable to eat most of it because the flavor was so off. This, combined with the price, will probably keep us away for the foreseeable future. It's just hard to justify spending so much when you're only confident about half of...
