this place is so cool! the stained glass is beautiful from the inside, and it's just a really cozy area. the building itself looks very brooding and dramatic, and the area around it is super friendly (i love the landscaping and all of the sitting areas). whenever it's open, i love stopping by and taking in some of the history, too. the museum has really nice pieces of furniture and clothing from howard county and especially ellicott city's past. it's a really quiet spot, so it's great for some silent reflection, too. honestly, i love just walking around these streets and coming up by this church and the courthouse, as the winding streets make for a fun journey from the busier main street. in the warmer months, the greenery is really appealing, as there are plenty of lush plants in this area, giving it an incredibly welcoming air. it's cute and free! what more...
