E.C. POPS thanks again for your amazing customer service. This place is a hidden gem located in Ellicott City. Mike the “Popcorn Guru” was very friendly and helpful to my mom and I. This is our second visit and each time all of the staff members have been helpful. I recently ordered some delicious popcorn for a gender reveal party and let me just say “once you pop you just cannot stop.” They have a variety of popcorn to choose from. My favorite so far is the cheddar and caramel mix. I cannot wait to try some other unique flavors. If you are having an event, they can customize popcorn colors and flavors for you. Today I took my grandchildren to EC Pops as a treat while on spring break. It’s always been a family tradition and favorite shop to visit in Old Ellicott City. Today was definitely not the experience I have had in the past for one reason… there was a middle aged man there today that introduced himself as the owner. When he told me that I almost walked out at that moment, leaving my purchases on the counter. He was so intoxicated that not only visibly tell but also smelled it from across the counter. How can you operate a business and be so drunk? My grandchild asked after we left what was wrong with him which is not a conversation I should have to have with my elementary school grandchildren.

Such a fun spot! Must go if you are visiting old Elliott City. A wonderful eclectic walkable town with loads of history. EC Pops is located in the heart and offers all the Maryland novelty gifts you can think of. Old Bay, Natty Boh, candy, socks; if you need a gift - you will find one here.

My favorite is the wall of bottles creative, craft soda pop. Guaranteed for a laugh! The fresh popcorn is a staple and my personal highlight of the store. Watch the popcorn being made and be sure to try something new; dill pickle, salt and vinegar, old bay white cheddar, and be sure to try the Maryland Mix!
