Phoenix is a local favorite of ours, but luckily we discovered it is also a great place for a rehearsal dinner. Mark, the owner, and Carrie, the manager, were phenomenal to work with! We opted to rent the downstairs room with its own bar instead of just sitting in the upstairs dining area, and it comfortably held about 30 people at 6 tables. Carrie is so friendly, professional, and easy to communicate with. And Mark was very accommodating of our requests. We were able to choose several meals from their banquet menu and their regular menu. They even agreed to make a favorite appetizer of ours that used to be on the menu at their old location. When we asked if we could bring in a cake, Carrie not only said yes, but she had a separate table set up with extra plates and forks. All of our guests enjoyed their appetizers, meals, and drinks and the service was excellent! The crab dip, roasted toasted crab dip sandwich, and fries especially were big hits, and some of the young adults in our group had such a good time that they hung out there for hours after dinner was over. Later we even ordered crab dip which was devoured during cocktail hour at the wedding reception. Thank you, Mark and Carrie, for providing a great setting, tasty food, and terrific service for the rehearsal dinner and for being such...
Read moreI have been a hermit for the last 2 years. My family and I finally decided we were ready to venture out and there was no better place than the Phoenix Emporium/Phoenix Upper Main that we could think of to make our return to society. This new location is amazing! There is so much room and its well lit. Staff is still so friendly and the food remains amazing! I tried a bit of everything we ordered. I had the Salmon which was delicious! It was cooked perfectly and the lemon, garlic sauce was amazing, I wanted to slurp it off my plate. I am not usually a fan of zucchini but they were seasoned so well and paired up with everything else on the plate I could not get enough of them. And the mashed potatoes were silky and seasoned well. We also had a burger which was smoky, tender and juicy. Seasoned perfectly! And the gruyere mac and cheese which was smooth and savory. I finished my meal with a banana xango which was pure deliciousness! Crisp fried outside and delicious banana filling I only wish I had a cool scoop of icecream to accompany it but maybe that would be overkill. Every time I am here I am already thinking of the next time I am...
Read moreThe food was very, very good, large portions, a bit expensive though. Anyway, I’ve been here before and it was just as delicious this time. The fries are super crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, BIG ol’ burgers, but big doesn’t mean they skimp on quality because it was delicious. The size of the food for the money was worth it, but I wish they had some items on their menu that were a little less, so your side dishes don’t add up so much. We (two people) got old bay fries with bacon and cheese as an appetizer and it was really good. I got the cheesecake with chocolate ganache for dessert and it was good, surprisingly fluffy inside for cheesecake but I liked that, but the dollop of ganache on top was delicious while the chocolate that poured over it was not very decadent, had less flavor. I might still get the cheesecake again but it was $8.00...😬 In conclusion, very good food, on the expensive side but definitely worth it. Not done sloppy or super greasy, food was flavorful looked good too. I can tell the Phoenix takes their food...
