I booked my 55th bday after experiencing a wonderful time at a previous event. My friends and I had a great time doing the glass fusion class to celebrate my birthday. The owners were wonderful and very accommodating. Dakota was even a pleasure to have with us. Unfortunately I was disappointed with how it ended when I went to pick up the art pieces for my group. There were 13 of us from all over and some traveled over 2 hours just to celebrate with me. I spoke with the individual and explained I would be picking up for the group. I thought our pieces would be fired together. Unfortunately I misunderstood. I felt like I was treated with total disregard. I was not greeted with a friendly smile or welcoming personality. There were no pleasantries just condensation and disgust. One member of the group did not take a picture yet the employee knew exactly which person it was and was able to describe the conversations we were having during our time creating our artwork. There was no "let me see what I can do to help" just a flat out "she didn't follow the instructions so without a picture I cannot give your glass piece. How do I know it is hers." Im sorry I would never steal someone else's artwork. We then search through all the pictures that every person took in order to find a picture and returned to pick up the 2 remaining pieces. Again, we were not greeted any pleasantries or welcoming personality. Instead, I got a snarky "I know" after we entered said hello and stated what we were there for. I showed the person the picture and she snarked then went upstairs to collect the art pieces. She called me upstairs to share the picture again on my phone. She then continued to be condescending and said to another employee "I sure did pick the wrong day to stop sniffing glue." Handed me the art piece without turning around and never saying another word to me. This was a missed opportunity for future business. I am sadden to say that I will never go back to try another art class knowing this individual will be the person I have...
Read more(This review is being re-posted from two years ago) My sister and I bought a Groupon and took the pottery class on June 11. We really enjoyed the pottery class! It actually is really fun! The instructors were patient and very helpful! And the class was actually a decent size. Only about 9 of us in there and it wasn't cramped or overcrowded at all. The class is in this nice, old stone building that is attached to this row, above the actual storefront. And the town it's located in is amazing! It has a really Olde Towne feel to it and it is SO beautiful, if you are into that sort of thing, which my sister and I are, so we thoroughly enjoyed it. Parking is FREE in a lot across the street and it is not a far walk to the shop the pottery class is located in. And the shop is cute too! Very eclectic and artsy. They sell amazing smoothies and snacks in the front of the shop at this little juice bar they named "Jehovah Java". We bought the Young Coconut Smoothie, and it was absolutely delicious. They bring out a young coconut from the back and open it right there, use the water and the meat from it - nothing goes to waste! And it is SO fresh! And refreshing, especially on a hot day like the day we went there! Everyone who we met that worked there were really nice. I can't wait to go back for their glass fusing class and to paint our pottery so that they can glaze and set it! It takes them 2 weeks to get it fired up and set for you to paint it, so expect to go back in 2 weeks to paint your work. But it's such a great little town off the beaten path that I don't mind having to go back! I'm really looking forward to seeing the town, the people at the shop and getting one of those awesome smoothies again! I definitely recommend this as one of your...
