Absolutely horrid!!! Was not able to take a real shower the entire time I was there because the hot water would go cold within 5 minutes and it came out in almost sprinkles from the shower head with zero water pressure. The place is disgusting and dirty and reeks of cigarette smoke. Cigarette burn holes all over the bed. No phone, coffee maker, no cups no nothing about as bare as you can get. Not to mention the propane heater kept going out and was giving me a major headache when it was on I don't even know if it was safe to be running. And Scott the owner has got one of the worst attitudes I've ever seen in my entire life! I was nothing but nice to him the entire time that I was there and even went out of my way to give him food and snacks multiple times as kind of a peace offering so he could drop the bad attitude and he ended up instead waking me up in the morning and demanding i leave right then and there and refusing to extend out my night because I dared to ask not to be woken up in the morning because I've been dealing with insomnia and my sleep schedule has been backwards. Even the Motel 6 would accommodate for this and every other hotel that Ive stayed at. But instead this rat-trap had the nerve to kick me out! And they aren't cheap! $75 a night for something that is about one step up from a crack den. Not to mention from 7 in the morning there was construction workers outside with this man speaking in Spanish yelling on the top of his lungs on the roof all the way till 11 when I got woken up and loud construction equipment banging things around right outside my room! I got zero sleep and then had to get kicked out like that just because I had asked to not be disturbed in the morning and that I would sign the paperwork later on. I have no idea what is wrong with that owner but he has one of the nastiest meanest attitudes I've ever met. He's a bully! and he has no reason to be he should be kissing people's feet to want to spend even one night...
Read moreBed bugs and no running water! Without a doubt the worst experience I have ever head at a motel and I was only there for one hour. Within that one hour I could feel bugs crawling on me from the cigarette burned bed. I tried brushing my teeth but the sink did not have running water. The smell of smoke was so thick in my room, that the stale odor seeped into my suitcase and ruined my clean clothes that I was to wear the next day. After one hour in the room, I went down to their desk and told them I need a refund because there were bed bugs and no running water. The white trash woman that runs the hotel who was earlier bragging about running over her ex-husband with her car immediately escalated the situation by pointing and yelling, “Look here, here, here, you see that, NO refunds.” I couldn’t believe someone would refuse a refund when they the room has bed bugs and no running water. I told her that I was just going to protest the charge on my credit card then and post a review to every site out there to warn future customers. Immediately afterwards, I drove to the Hampton Inn and the first thing I did was quarantine my clothing in a garbage bag and went downstairs to the hot tub to sterilize myself. The next morning, I drove to Target and purchased all new smoke and bed bug free clothing. This is a truly horrible business. Do not stay at this hell hole. Sleeping in your car or on the side of a street, both are...
Read moreStayed here on 12/22 and 12/23/2015. It was the last leg of a return trip from Virginia to the Western slope of Colorado.||||It's South Broadway, and the motel was built in the 50s. I lived in the area for quite a while, and drove past this place an unknown number of times. There are a number of motels along South Broadway built in the 50s. The sign on the office door reads "Cash only. No refunds." If you know that going in, you're either not going to need a full night, you're a student or laborer (they have weekly rates), or you're (like me) parked and waiting. In my case I-70 had the chain restriction issued for west of Denver. The Wi-Fi was the star, and how I kept informed on the weather and road conditions. Along with the DirecTV that was included. The room (#112) was okay. The carpet was well worn. It had a table and two chairs for eating at, or a place to sit a laptop. The bathroom had a toilet and shower. There was a sink behind the table and chairs, along with a small fridge. Everything worked. The bed had a certain bounce to it. authors write stories about places like this. It was an okay place for me. The TV was a CRT model that filled the screen once she warmed up. The gas fired room heater kept the room warm as well. It was quiet, and I couldn't hear the traffic on Broadway when in the room. Would I stay there again? Yes. If I found myself in the same...
