I love visiting downtown I live right downtown but when it's time to go home after the Festival Park and everything is shutting down I can't get a bus to take me back downtown where I live I have to either pay a cab or walk home later tonight and I have a walker cuz I'm disabled I really can't walk but I have no choice it's either that or stay home which I won't do cuz I get depressed when I stay home right now I'm trying to think maybe I have to move again and it don't make no sense cuz I just got here 2 years ago I'm living off of Cliffdale Road where I had the same problem with the bus and not after moving down here 2 years ago the same thing is happening all over again how many times do I have to move I'm fed up I tried to see if I can change it buy running for council woman but that didn't work I never got voted in and everything Still Remains the Same They Don't Care About Us seniors or people with disabilities or poor people I'm tired of this nonsense but what's a person supposed to do then you all got the nerve to bombard my phone with quick things for me to rate you want me to write something then do something about the situation every time I have to walk home from one of the festivities the next day I'm in so much pain I can't even barely move this is annoying but I have to do get out of town do y'all really want me here sometimes I wonder well thank you for giving me some time to say what I feel on this internet you all have a...
Read moredowntown is anywhere from a one-star to a five-star review depending upon what event you go to and what time of day you go down there. the shops are generally nice, shop owners try and keep everything clean and presentable. You can easily find a good meal and good entertainment. Most of the downtown events have a small town feel to them and are geared only to specific events so don't expect something for everyone based upon the event being held. The city is trying to improve downtown and during those times you see a higher police presence and a cleaner area. The less then average one star to three star rating would be applicable during times without events: times the city is not actively trying to look its best. If you want a decent time pick a good event and you will likely have a good time at it. Growing up on the east coast, I know that downtown area with these older buildings and all their charm are pretty commonplace, but after spending 13 years on the west coast, I'd forgotten just how quaint they really are. The architecture is captivating, there are little shops all around. There are some neat art sculptures/installations and town that were a treat to see.
