I literally haven’t been to the Galleria Mall in 3 years since the beginning of the pandemic. I had to go to the place I hate with the long wait the Apple Store. It took 2 hours for them to change my I Phone Battery. So I had some time to kill and the first stop was to me a long time admitted chocoholic ,a Swiss Chocolatier shop Läderach! I still don’t frequent indoor places chocolate or not chocolate when the staff and or patrons falsely think Covid-19 is gone and acting like there never was or still is a potentially deadly virus unless the staff is wearing a facemask as I was. Fortunately not only was I attracted to the window display of homemade recipes of chocolate Barks but the staff member was wearing a face mask so I felt comfortable to enter and take a look around. Anya welcomed me with a proper greeting and I explained to her my chocolate addiction and my love of dark chocolate only. Anya is the type of employee a Swiss company would want representing their upscale boutique product all the way in Fort Lauderdale Florida. She not only pointed out which truffles or items (there’s a lot in that showcase ) were dark chocolate but she knew the filling of each one and the exact percentage of Cacao in each one. I like 70% or higher. She knew what a Ganache was as well. I work myself in an upscale handcrafted small batch spirits Olive oils vinegars spices and wine boutique in Boca Raton and this is not my first rodeo as a certified sommelier and I can tell you most businesses like yours don’t train staff members as well as Anya was trained. She knows the concept and the product and she is extremely personable. Now every other employee at every other business in that mall is bored to death and staring at their cell phones and upon entering their business I felt like I was interrupting their Instagram scrolling. Anya was one of a kind. Now her superior who rudely came out of the back room and interrupted our conversation to give Anya some closing duties (2 hours till closing time ) made me feel like it was time to leave and not wanted. She should be spoken to. My current new job at the boutique offers full time employees $500 per month towards the insane cost of housing in south Florida. They know you won’t get quality employees in an upscale shop if they don’t help them out financially so they can support themselves and a roof over their head. If Läderach wants people like Anya I would make sure1- she is complimented for this review (I never write google reviews ) and 2- make sure her compensation can meet the high cost of living in South Florida. The truffles are so amazing especially the one with the cocoa powder on top . I’m in chocolate heaven. Thanks Anya for introducing me to this high quality line of Suisse Chocolates. See...
Read moreI was surprised that Läderach is lacking in customer service and it’s not important for them to keep customers happy and wishing to come back. Chocolate is good but really nothing is “wow” , I would say like many other chocolate stores around main streets or malls. I came in with a simple request: somehow I got Ginger sticks instead of orange sticks, so I brought in a sealed, never opened pack of ginger sticks and I just asked it to be exchanged for a same pack of orange sticks. They asked for the receipt which I didn’t have, they asked for a purchase proof - I was able to find the transaction on my credit card and I showed it to the person at the counter. He had to call manager several times and at the end - they refused to exchange it, saying that the purchase was made a week ago (I just didn’t have a chance to go to the mall for a week, got some time on a weekend which is normal). So I decided not to argue and just left a pack of ginger sticks and left as no one in our household likes ginger. I hope they can make a double profit by selling this ginger stick pack twice and stay “alive” in this market. I guess they still didn’t figure out that you get customers’ loyalty by great customer service and resolving issues with...
Read moreThis is a nice chocolate store with delicious chocolate. I went here and was satisfied with my experience. I walked into here and was offered samples of high quality chocolate by a helpful sales associate. After making sure I had no allergies, I was given a delicious sample of milk chocolate with cashews. I then tried some delightful chocolate with pecans inside. These chocolates were sweet, savory, and unleashed a divine taste that pulsates through the tastebuds of my mouth when they reached their melting point and changed physical states. I then tried chocolate with marzipan, which I’ve never had before, but I unfortunately found out that I’m not a fan of marzipan. If you like marzipan you’d probably like the Choctaw though. This store sells small chocolate bears, custom sample bags where you can pick different types of chocolates, such as the ones I sampled, to buy, and chocolate gift boxes. I gave this chocolate store five stars because they have absolutely delicious chocolates. If one were to say the quality of this chocolate is akin to that of Delta Airlines, that comparison would not do this...
