The JFK Memorial is surreal experience like no other. As a big time history nerd, I've read all about and watched countless documentaries regarding JFK's assassination as well as the memorial dedicated to him in downtown Dallas. Being there where unfortunate history was made left me with few words. And reflected back on it, it's still hard for me to find words to describe the experience. Regardless, it is a must see whenever you are in Dallas. The "X" signifies the spot where the car was when President Kennedy was shot and the ast window on the 2nd row on the furthest right is where Oswald made his shot that changed the history of our country in 1963. This JFK Memorial Museum is amazing and helped her understand better what the world felt when President Kennedy was assassinated on Nov. 22, 1963. The museum is free and open to the public 24/7.

Read moreI was staying in the city and thought it would be a stoic place to visit and I was right. It was 7am and it was absolutely quiet with only city workers in the area. Not a scrap of paper, a leaf or any other debris at this memorial. A city worker had just come through to ensure it was pristine.
I was able to read each inscribed marble stone and even sit for a moment. It was peaceful and reading the inscriptions in today’s times, really made me think about how much we could benefit from a man like JFK now.
