An extremely disappointing stay at the AC Hotel Fort Worth Downtown. Not worth the hype or price, so many better options. I recently stayed at the AC Hotel Fort Worth Downtown for the first time, expecting a level of quality and service that a 4-star hotel should provide. Instead, I was met with subpar cleanliness to put it kindly, lackluster amenities, indifferent service, and a price tag that in no way matched the experience. From the moment I stepped into our room, I was appalled. The floors were not properly vacuumed, and in the areas some may not normally look, I found it to be absolutely disgusting. I happened to drop something and got down to get it and was grossed out by what I found. I moved furniture to find a mess which can be seen in the photos. Next up, we pulled the comforter down to find what looked like a small bug and then a couple of extremely long black hairs (we are both blonde headed), so no chance it came from either of us. We were exhausted and checked in around 9pm, so this was the last thing we wanted to deal with. We called down to the front desk and immediately requested a new room, they had no other rooms. We were offered a room with two queens the following day, being that we were celebrating our anniversary, I declined. For a hotel that markets itself as modern and upscale, the cleanliness was completely unacceptable. I don’t expect a luxury experience at every hotel, but at the very least, I expect a clean room at a "4 star" hotel and at this price point. Amenities? What Amenities? There is no room service, you have to go down to the bar and order, wait and take back up to the room. There is no pool, hot tub or spa on site. The fitness center on the 3rd floor is about the only amenity you'll find. There also is no luggage service when leaving. I called down when checking out and requested help with our bags and was informed they don't do that there. They have carts you can come down and retrieve, which was confusing because our bags were brought up upon arrival, but that was just part of their $55 a night valet service. Hospitality should be a given at a hotel of this caliber, but the staff seemed uninterested. I had to call twice when we first entered our room to report the lack of cleanliness. The phone just rang and rang the first attempt. I waited and called a second time and just let it ring until a young woman finally answered. No real warmth, no real effort—just a going-through-the-motions attitude that made it clear customer satisfaction is not a priority. In closing, I expected at least some level of quality, but this hotel fails on all fronts. You’re paying for fancy-looking pictures online and a good location—nothing else. Save yourself the frustration and stay somewhere that actually delivers on its promises. The one positive, the view. We did have a nice view from the 9th floor. **Update to my review, I was charged again today after zeroing out my bill at checkout on 3/2/2025 (see added photos). I called the hotel and of course could not get anyone in billing, however I did speak with a nice female at the front desk. She looked up my account and charges by credit card # and did confirm I was charged again. She had no idea why, and stated when she printed my statement from the 2nd it showed all $0.00's. I got out into the GM's voicemail, Carissa Taylor, so from reading so many similarly reviews I'm sure I'll never hear from her. Do not stay here!** Final Verdict: 0/5 – I wouldn’t stay here again if they paid me. Avoid at all costs.

This hotel is stunning. The gym is perfect for a workout, and the shower amenities are excellent. For people who shave their legs, someone FINALLY added a foot bar so you can shave with ease! The room was almost perfect, but the closet space is tiny, and if it is cold, your jacket occupies precious space in the wardrobe area. I would suggest that the hotel add hooks on the entry wall when you walk in since there is a large wasted space there. That being said, I am not sure if I would stay at the hotel again. I either had a very loud and obnoxious neighbor, or the walls are paper-thin. I came to Fort Worth since it is my hometown to catch up with friends and relax. That did not happen since my neighbor would wake up every day at 5:45 am and begin slamming doors and the room door. Which then made me tired and grumpy all day. My checkout time was 2 pm on Sunday out ( i upgraded checkout time was 2 since I did not sleep at all due to my noisy neighbor). Housekeeping stopped by my room at 9 am. I thanked her for coming by and advised her that I check out at 2. She said okay, then came back at 10:30 while I was in the shower, and I had the “do not disturb” sign on the door. As I am in the shower, I told her again; I do not check out until 2. She came back at 11:30, and then I was finally over being bothered. I packed up my things and went to my parent's house. I have noticed that Marriott has begun to do this on the day you check out; I am not a fan of this “policy” 🙄

Decent hotel that was clean and staff for the most part were nice. The style of the hotel is unique but for the price and with the meetings and events planned it didn’t really bother us. Location was good as well. If you get a great price on this hotel I would recommend it. But I’ll share few minor inconveniences that I experienced as with any travel or stays you should expect something haha. Few downers were my digital key wouldn’t work so I had to goto the front desk and do the whole check in process, the business center printer didn’t work, the bar area gets very packed as soon as it opens and the food and drinks selection in the pickup and go area is quite expensive but nice to have. Additionally the hotel somehow checked us out a day early then our reservation showed. (I’m a Gold elite and always pre-pay for this reason for any of my stays) it was quite confusing as the front desk was very defensive that my room stay didn’t exist when I went for a paper copy of my bill. Anyways, valet is the same price most hotels charge but with Fort Worth you can select plenty of other parking locations 1-3 blocks away.

I booked a room at this hotel for New Years Eve. I usually stay at a Hilton property every year but had points to use with Marriott so chose this property.

I booked a room with double queen beds as my friend was coming in from out of town too. Upon arrival to check in I was advised they didn’t have any rooms with 2 queen beds. I asked how this was possible as I booked my room in advance and that’s what I needed. I wasn’t going to share a bed with my friend. The front desk clerk said she was the only employee working, there were no managers onsite and someone else didn’t do their job “counting the house.” She advised a manger would be present the following morning at checkout and they would credit me the valet for the inconvenience. She also advised the best she could do was offer me a king room that had a pull out couch. I asked if they have a mattress topper for the couch as those beds are usually not comfortable. She said she could send up some extra blankets. She charged my credit card for incidentals and sent me on my way. I got to the room on the 15th floor and there was only a king size bed in the room. I went back down to the desk and advised her, there is no couch in the room. She asked me if I was sure? I said unless it’s in the bathroom, no. She gave me another room on the 13th floor and never sent up any extra bedding material. Mind you all of this took over an hour and we missed our dinner reservations. I didn’t not find out until the next morning that this hotel charged my credit card the agreed $50 for incidentals and then again for an unauthorized $60 for the room they moved me too. They also charged my debit card an unauthorized amount of $300. I brought this up to the lady at checkout and she too was working alone. She claimed no managers were on duty. She also advised she could see that I used points but the young lady who checked me in to the first room did not transfer it to the second room. She gave me the phone number of the general manager Carissa Taylor. I called and spoke with Ms. Taylor who apologized and assured me she would get it corrected that day on January 1. She did advise it would take a few days to credit my accounts back. I was patient and allowed 5 days. Not only did they not credit my account back they dropped the $300 hold and did a $298.32 charge. I can no longer reach Ms. Taylor, as the number goes to a fast busy each time I call. I have been fighting with this location and corporate to get my money back to both my bank and my credit card. Corporate advised the refund has to be initiated by the location. Today is now the 6th and my bank said they initiated the refund of my money 3 days ago but never sent the funds.

Corporate marriot has put in another dispute and said it could be another 3-5 days before I see my money.

The rooms are dated. The customer service was poor as the desk clerks were overwhelmed and understaffed on very busy check in and checkout days. The hotel bed was uncomfortable and the couch bed was as expected, uncomfortable, according to my friend that stayed as well.

I will not ever stay at this hotel again and will be letting all of my coworkers and anyone who asks for a place to stay downtown to stay at embassy suites so they will be comfortable, won’t have unauthorized charges to their accounts, and will be provided excellent...
