Our family ate lunch at Capital Grille on 10/7/22 to celebrate our son’s birthday. The food and service was excellent; however the valet parking experience was a disaster. After eating lunch we walked out of the restaurant to retrieve our vehicle only to realize it had been damaged. The Capital Grille manager on duty was aware of the damage prior to us leaving the restaurant and elected to allow us to finish our meal (our feelings on this are neutral, at this point there was nothing she could have done – the vehicle was already damaged). The valet manager of Platinum Parking met us at the vehicle, the Capital Grille manager did not. The PP manager apologized profusely, provided his business card and indicated he would be in touch. We were told our backup camera was not working which resulted in the driver backing into a pole. The vehicle is less than a year old and the cameras worked perfectly on the way to and from the restaurant. If you are a valet driver shouldn’t you rely on the rearview/side mirrors instead of backup cameras… as not all cars have backup cameras. Additionally we noticed the sunroof was open and we never use the sunroof. It is our firm belief the driver took the vehicle for a joy ride prior to parking it. Over the next few days/weeks while corresponding with PP it was clear they were only interested in repairing the vehicle cheaply; PP wanted to pay out of pocket instead of allowing us to file a claim with their insurance company (Fortis Insurance Partners). We were not allowed to have the vehicle repaired at the dealership; the only option for repair was Service King or we could sign a release waiver and receive a check equivalent to the Service King estimate. Our vehicle is not super fancy (Lexus GX 460 Premium) but it is less than a year old with about 19K miles. Ultimately we made the decision to file a claim against our own insurance company which resulted in out of pocket costs for the deductible and a rental car for a 90 days. Capital Grille contacted us a few weeks after the incident to offer their apologizes and discuss what they could offer to ease our pain. We declined their offer. We are writing this review to warn customers the risk they expose themselves to if they dine at Capital Grille and use the valet service Capital Grille contracts with. While Capital Grille is not responsible for what happened to our vehicle they should own some accountability over the valet company they contract with to park their customer’s vehicles. It is our understanding the valet driver who damaged our vehicle was parking cars the very next day for Capital Grille. Our vehicle went in for repair on 11/1, the repairs won’t be complete until 12/13 due to supply chain issues, volume of cars in for repair and shortage of workers. Will we dine at Capital Grille again? Most likely but we haven’t yet. Will we use their valet service again? Absolutely not!

A Memorable Anniversary Dinner at Capital Grille My spouse and I recently celebrated our anniversary with an unforgettable dinner at Capital Grille. Upon making our reservation, we informed the staff of the occasion. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated at an intimate table for two, adorned with soft lighting and a subtle glow from a dim lamp, creating a truly romantic ambiance. Throughout the evening, every employee we encountered extended heartfelt congratulations on our anniversary, a gesture that was deeply appreciated. Our waiter, Peter, was exceptional in every regard. He provided insightful recommendations for both food and drink, engaged in pleasant conversation, and even thoughtfully folded our napkins during our brief absences. The culinary delights were equally impressive. We savored delectable crab and lobster cakes and a refreshing cherry with bacon appetizer. For our main course, we shared a magnificent 22 oz T-bone ribeye, accompanied by their signature lobster mac and cheese. The chef graciously prepared individual plates, ensuring an effortless and enjoyable dining experience. The steak and lobster mac and cheese were both exquisite. Peter's attentive service continued throughout the meal, as he proactively offered to package any remaining food for us to enjoy later. To further enhance our celebration, the restaurant presented us with a delightful dessert platter featuring their renowned creme brulee and strawberry cheesecake. The beverage selections were equally impressive, with highlights including the Mango Royale, 2021 Emmolo Merlot, Black Tie Margarita, and a pair of Stoli Dolis, all demonstrating the restaurant's commitment to exceptional quality. I subsequently shared my enthusiastic feedback with the manager, highlighting the extraordinary service and unparalleled dining experience. In comparing the evening to a previous five-star dining experience at The Broadmoor in Colorado, the manager expressed familiarity with the renowned resort. I conveyed that Capital Grille surpassed even The Broadmoor in terms of its romantic ambiance. In conclusion, I can unequivocally state that I have never experienced such exceptional service as I did that evening at Capital Grille.
