My fiance surprised me and took me there today!! It was our first time there and it definitely won't b r last! We stayed in the overlook pool for a few hours then went into the shallow pool before getting out. Really enjoyed being there and relaxing w such great views of the surrounding mountains!! Absolutely breathtaking TBH. Only thing I had noticed was discounts for seniors and vets and children prices where cheaper or free. I asked about discount for disabled ppl n was told they don't do that but if needed to get into a pool they have a chair to help me. I recently moved to Montrose Colorado from Farmington New Mexico and go to the rec center in Montrose and get a disabled discount so would one not apply at the hot springs?? We did like that the place offers a small choice of snacks and drinks and water bottles n baseball caps which is really cool. Plenty of space for everyone to enjoy the different pools w different temps in each pool. Wouldn't mind having a family changing room like the rec center has in Montrose. Being disabled it's nice to have help from my fiance as the ground does get slippery after ppl walk on it. My fiance was waiting for me out front after I got done and met him by the front doors. We walked out and he had told me a girl wanted to buy a candy bar n only had a $20 on her. The cashier which my fiance said was very rude to the girl buying the candy bar oh u don't have anything smaller to which she replied no. She said well I can't break a $20. My fiance said the lady behind the register was just very rude and handled that candy bar buying in a bad way n could have been much nice. Like how does the hot springs not have change for $20?? And I'd say maybe they need to mark the front doors on ppl who have a membership they can go in one door and the ppl just buying a day pass to use the other. We had gotten there before.11:30am and waited outside and then more n more ppl showed up. Granted I know we was all there n the pool ain't going anywhere but as time passes and it started getting closer to 12pm to open sooo many ppl showed up n then was just cutting in front is us and others who had been waiting there already to get in. Ppl need to realize there r ppl like me that is disabled and can't b standing long or can't b getting pushed to get into a building just cuz others want to swim. We all want to swim n relax that's y we're there. So maybe they need to think of an easier way to deal w getting ppl thru the building and into the pools better. Other than that we enjoyed ourselves there and will go back in the future!

Great place to relax after a long day of climbing or any outdoor activity. 50cents for locked locker. Showers available and towels. The locker rooms have doors that exit to the pool area. They do not have bathing suits for sale. Bring sandals - especially in winter. Usually the staff is pretty informative if you havent been there before, I might have caught the front desk lady on a bad day because she didnt really offer up any info as I heard (from the locker room) her ask others if they'd been there before and explained some points of the place - I must look like a local! They have a whiteboard up on the wall with daily pool temps and on one of the counters they should have a map of which pools are which. Overlook area is adults only- they dont really enforce that super hard but for the most part yes. Have a blast!

I have been coming here since I was a kid. We visited the area almost every family vacation because of the beauty and the family in the area and it's still one of my favorite places in the world. It has changed so much and for some folks it's for the better but for us with nostalgia for the place it is nearly unrecognizable as the same place. It has lovely updates but I can't help but miss the simplicity of the old hot springs pool. You actually felt like you were in a hot springs and not just a hot pool. It has also raised its price so much that instead of visiting five times during a two week vacation, you can only afford to go once because it costs a family $100 for one visit. Not even a discount for locals. It's sad because it is something I wanted to share with my children.

This was our first visit after the "upgrade" we have been there many times before with no complaints. Unfortunately the pool was better before. We purchased a punch card prior to our first visit of the week. It was a terrible experience with Luke warm water in the Hot pool advertised to be 103°F that day. When we complained we were told rudely that they couldn't do anything and you need to call the manager the next day. The manager must have woke up on the wrong side of the bed. She said she couldn't control the water temperature. When I pointed out that they could accurately display the temperature at the entrance. She then asked if I had a thermometer. As if people regularly confuse water that you aren't warm in with 103°F. I know I wasn't the only person to complain there was a line of people asking for refund on the way out the door the night before all told to call Debbie in the morning. She then all but hung up on me (she transfered my call to the county who didn't answer). The second day wasn't much better. We arrived early to get a full days use of the slides, which didn't open for 2 hours after pool opening. The slides also required an additional fee which was not clear when we entered. My Daughter waited for 15 minutes prior to the sides opening to be the first on the slide to be turned away and told she needed to buy a slide pass. The staff was extremely rude. The bath house smelled like urine both visits. Overall...

We came from Texas solely for the Ouray pool. This pool is perfect and designed especially for elders, but not for families with small children. I feel the price is outrageous!!! $48 for 3 (2 adults one 4 y/o). I cannot explain how this place remains in business.

Ironic this facility is without a small child pool or even a splash pad. Worse, all items to engage children cost extra (slides $4 more, cold pools requires swim test, float toys required additional payment, EVERYTHING costs extra here)

Talking with pool staff and front desk they are apologetic about the lack of child services and activities, but made no attempt to refund the price. Instead offering a form I fill-in to write the city council about the perceived deficiencies. This was a sign of disrespect (ala you dumb tourist lets pass the buck).

When I arrived I stated I had a 4 year old. If they said at time of sign-in that your 4-year old would be unable to swim in 80% of the pools and there are no child play areas I would not have entered.

I am so dissatisfied I may file a complaint with the credit card to have charges reversed. And I never ever do that. That is how upset I am just thinking about...
