My advice... go on a Saturday. I have been told from people all over how awesome and knowledgable the man who owns the shop is and how incredible the collection is. It is an amazing collection, for sure, but unfortunately every time I have stopped in, his son is working. So un passionate, so rude, so short. I'm easy to talk rocks with- I have a booth at gem shows all over the country. I'm smart, respectable, I listen well, and I always buy. This guy was so rude about answering mineral questions and made remarks that would make someone lose passion and excitement for rocks... I told the gentleman that was working there that I had a crystal back home that I didn’t know the name of. I showed him a picture and he was able to identify it as rainforest jasper. He was very happy to help and talk to me about the things in the shop (rocks and minerals, of course, but also where they all came from), and eventually I ended up finding a sandstone slab that i absolutely love.
