I thought I was lucky because I got a last minute appointment here when my dentist recommended based on increasing pain and an X-ray showing what looked to be an infection. I could not have received worst service here from Dr. Greer McMichael. I was rushed through my appointment. I repeated information to her multiple times and she kept saying completely wrong information back that fit her diagnosis not my actual symptoms. She dismissed my pain as “not consistent enough” and told me it was just a “bruised tooth” and to wait a few weeks. When I questioned what about what my dentist’s X-ray showed (which even I could see the issue!) she shrugged, didn’t answer me, said she’d check my teeth again, when on and on about how “beautiful” my teeth are (10 out of 10 dentist would agree they are not), and again said it was a “bruised tooth.” I’d told her I had a high pain tolerance. I can’t feel a bruise. She said I couldn’t have pain where I said because of a tooth implant. Skip to a few weeks later my pain had significantly increased, my dentist recommended me to a different specialist. Her first question? “Did anyone prescribe you an antibiotic? It’s an odd placement, but it looks like an infection.” So I’d had to deal with weeks more of pain, have my implant removed because of the infection (the pain was EXACTLY where I told Dr. McMichael), and I’m still dealing with issues in part because the infection was allowed to continue due to Dr. McMichael’s completely wrong diagnosis of a “bruised tooth.” Perhaps the other dentists here are better, but I hope I never have to return...
Read moreThis rating is for the office personnel, not the dentists/endodontists. Prior to any type of dental/medical treatment I always research to understand what the potential costs will be. I never like to walk in with an open checkbook. Through the years I've contacted many providers for estimated costs and have always received outstanding assistance from the office personnel. After every call I was extremely satisfied that the office cared enough about me as a potential patient to ensure I was going to be comfortable knowing what my potential costs would be. This has not been the case with Endodontics Frisco. I was referred to them by my family dentist who I have great respect for. I've called twice in an attempt to understand what the consultation costs will be and the "range" for treatment costs. Both times the receptionists refused to even look up my dental plan and were both very clear that it is not their policy to provide any financial estimates prior to the patient meeting with the provider. I left both calls feeling that they don't care enough about me as a potential patient to help me understand my potential costs. Unfortunately I won't have the opportunity to evaluate the actual dentist/endodontists from this practice even though several have received...
Read moreI'm pretty disappointed in my ultimate results from both Endodontic Group and ROOT located in same building. Thousands of dollars aside, its now 1 year later and i still have pain in the same tooth I got a root canal in, Dr. Porter mentioned my roots were longer and that he may need to reperform procedure but i visited him 2-3x after complaining of residual pain and he dismissed it and ultimately never corrected issue, but rather, referred me downstairs to Dr Hussain at Root who performed a periscopy, gingivectomy to address "inflammation" at gumline and again did not solve issue. I consulted a new endodontist today and she identified suspected cause -- roots are too long, there are discrepancies in the filler used in my roots (gaps) and likely all of this is inducing residual inflammation alongside my crown needing to be redone (post second root canal). Despite all providers being cordial and nice, i rather them be rude and more effective at solving my issue... I feel like i wasted $2000+, time, discomfort, anxiety and im back to square one, having to pay another $2000 on top. If the office would like to speak to me they are more than welcomed to. Again, I am leaving a honest and true review, and hope it reads respectfully. I'm just disappointed. Thanks....
