Ripley's Davy Crockett Mini-Golf — Attraction in Gatlinburg

My kids and I purchased 2 games, didn't have time to do both courses so we went back next day. On one hole there was like a log cabin looking thing that 100's of people wrote their names/date. I didn't really think anything of it when my daughter started to write hers, my son's, my name and date w a heart around it bc this was our 1st trip back there w out my husband and their dad. It didn't say not too, I kinda thought it was a thing to do. So last hole my 15 year old son gets a hole in one, so excited, saying dad would be proud of that.. he goes in to tell the guy behind the counter about it to get his "free game" for hole in one. The guy, feet propped up, on phone said sorry, can't give free game to ya. My son was confused bc it said you get. Rude toothpick chewing guy said, I saw you writing on our stuff, that's vandalism. Son was confused, it wasn't him (it was sis) he then said, if you want free game ok but I'll need to call the cops for the vandalism. Lol what a joke! I unfortunately was in restroom when all this happened and get full story until Heading out. Employee was a man/kid jackass! I honestly didn't think anything wrong bc of all the others, I thought people did that as a reminder, memory and was touched my daughter wanted to make our bitter sweet memories w out dad. They should really post something if they don't want people to do that. Anyway we know my son got the hole in one, we'd never go back anyway. Better putt-putt around too....

When I arrived here to play… A man in the parking lot said tell the people in the office I was just in there and I would like to give my free games of golf to y’all… I went in there but before I could even tell the guy behind the counter I had three games… He immediately begin telling me that it was 405 and that I probably could not finish the game by 5 o’clock when they close but they did open at 10 o’clock tomorrow… It’s 70° in February in the smoky mountains and I’ve been reading articles about all attractions hurting for business in Sevier County… This man is complete poison to this business... his attitude and Personna stunk to high heaven‘s… I then told him I would still like to try to play and I informed him about the free games and he immediately knew about the man but he couldn’t give me the games but he said no I can’t give those games to you because I can’t just give anybody free games… I’m a Christian, I don’t lie to people about free games… He could’ve at least tried to reach across the table some since they were already closing within 55 minutes… But instead he lost a good customer to his recommend this course to lots of friends for life… And I will inform everybody I know to never step foot in this golf course because of this terrible employee...

Went yesterday, Saturday the 14th. Ticket prices online are completely different in person. Online it shows one price and in person completely different. Told the worker at the front we wanted to play all 26 holes. When we came back after finishing them, he had only charged us for one. And wanted to make us pay for 18 more holes. Which would have been 33 dollars. After a few minutes of explaining that we asked to play the 36. I even mentioned I would pay the difference although they had messed up but that i would not pay for 2 entire games again. One worker finally just let us play the other course because of the struggle and miscommunication on their part. Everytime i looked up after that we were being watched. Water feature didn't work on hole 17 so you had to constantly push the ball down. The course has a spot for hole 10. So be careful to look for it so you don't play the same holes twice. Unmotivated staff. Would rather argue about how the price online isn't correct. And they simply didn't care. Course had pieces that were broken and things not working. Will spend money at another mini golf...
