I can not give enough praise for Brad and Kane. This was truly an amazing place, that felt exactly like a home away from home. From the moment we arrived, Brad was so kind, and friendly, his over demeanor just makes you feel welcomed. He has a WONDERFUL breakfast on the weekends that he makes fresh. Week days, he has fresh juice, milk, fruit, and other items available, with snacks accessible too. My husband and I picked Gettysburg for our honeymoon, but Brad just made it the best experience I could imagine. He also gave us a vase of red roses with extra goodies. I truly can not say enough good things about him. He really makes you feel like family, I picked the house at first because of Kane, his amazing fur baby. But ultimately, it was the entire trip that has won us over to ALWAYS return and book with Brad and Kane. We will be telling others as well to stay when they visit. I truly can't wait for a trip up here sooner than later and to see them both again! You 10000% will NOT regret staying here. I hate that we have to leave.

As this was our first real B&B experience, we were a little nervous about what to expect. Brad and Gabe gave us the VIP treatment from the moment we arrived. Brad showed us around, explained everything about our stay, and provided some great recommendations for dining and things to do. The property was beautiful and perfectly located. Our room was comfortable and included historical decor mixed with modern amenities. They even provided a grey washcloth for make-up removal! The next morning Brad and Gabe provided an excellent breakfast with the best cheesy potato hash we have ever had. Everything about our stay was perfect and we wished we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be returning to enjoy more of their hospitality and explore more of the area!

I cannot recommend this highly enough. I have stayed throughout the world and this place is bar none the best. Brad the owner is a phenomenal guy and highly friendly. Don’t forget about Kane, the dog who loves scratches. The decor and atmosphere is second to none in Gettysburg, and the rooms plush, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast is served every morning with a wonderful array of fruit, breads, cereals and on our last day eggs, bacon sausage and French toast. Gorgeous back patio and within walking distance of great restaurants and pubs. I would like to keep this gem to ourselves so we don’t have to compete for rooms, but it is too wonderful to not share. Thank you Brad for a great visit, and give Kane a big belly rub! From John and Barb.

We had a delightful stay at The Olinger House B&B. Our two night stay was not nearly long enough to enjoy the wonderful hospitality of the staff and explore the fascinating treasures around every corner of the home.

The Olinger House is a charming Bed & Breakfast in historic Gettysburg. The home is beautifully decorated and has many historic and period details in both the common areas and guest rooms. My favorite common area was the cozy sun room just off the dining room. If I wasn’t in our room, you would find me here, with a cup of coffee and book in hand. The attentive hosts, Brad and Charlie, are quick to show you the many curios, the art and the architectural details that make this home so fascinating. Brad has extensive knowledge and familiarity with Gettysburg and was willing to provide suggestions to start us on our day of site seeing. Plus, he was able to make fantastic dinner recommendations.

Breakfast was delicious. Being from Seattle , I’m a coffee snob and I can say that the coffee was fantastic. I believe Brad mentioned the beans are locally sourced (roasted). Add to that juice, pastries (including Brad’s home made sweet breads), fruit and other breakfast options, and we were set. We also had an extra special breakfast on Sunday, but I don’t know if that is the norm or if it was because we were at the B&B over Easter Sunday.

The location could not be better situated as it’s less than a five minute walk to downtown where you can find numerous restaurants and shops. It’s also close to the Gettysburg Battlefields and the Gettysburg National Soldier Cemetery (four score and seven years ago…)

We spent two nights in the Olinger Suite. The room has an ensuite bathroom (I believe all the guest rooms are similarly situated) and has comfy linens, great pillows and plush towels. Plus there were little extras in the room (phone charger, WiFi, arrival goodies). The room was clean, as was the entire B&B.

As stated earlier, our stay at the Olinger House was absolutely delightful and we...

We stopped at the Olinger House Bed and Breakfast on our way through for a 1-night stay. Right off the bat, we were impressed with the ease of check-in and had no trouble getting inside and finding our room. Our room was quaint and well decorated with a bathroom of our own. We stayed in the Hunterstown Suite which had a very comfortable bed. The house is decorated in the "period style" with wonderful pictures and history throughout. You could literally spend a few hours just looking at everything on display. The location is within walking distance to the town where we enjoyed lunch at the Springhouse Tavern and dinner at O'Rorke's; both had good food and were within walking distance to the Olinger House. The owner, Bradley, was very gracious, and we enjoyed a wonderful continental breakfast and good conversation before we headed out. My review would be remiss without mentioning Bradley's 4-legged partner, Kane, who provided the perfect morning dose of doggie love to send us on our way. We will DEFINITELY be making the Olinger House B&B a stopping point every time we pass through, and hope to have a family reunion there in the near future! I would recommend Olinger House to anyone looking for a comfortable, relaxing and pleasant stay in...

We chose Olinger House based on location and reviews. From the time we inquired about a reservation, to check in and throughout our stay, we continued to be impressed with this gem of a B & B. The owner Brad, has filled the home with furniture, photos, housewares, and memorabilia reminiscent of the Civil War era. It feels as though you’ve walked into history but with modern conveniences and warm hospitality. Each room is well appointed with everything you need for a restful stay. There are comfortable common areas and a beautiful outdoor patio. Everywhere you look whether inside or out, there are unique touches that make it very special.|The Inn is very conveniently located with only a short walk to the town center, restaurants and shoppes.|Brad was so friendly and accommodating. He took the time to interact with guests and provide information on sightseeing and local dining. During the week he serves a generous and delicious Continental Breakfast and sets out snacks throughout the day. On weekends there is a full breakfast|An added bonus was his very sweet doodle Kane, who also enjoyed interacting with the guests.|We had such a wonderful stay at Olinger House and will definitely return. It is the perfect choice for one night or...
