Hoboken Boat Charters — Attraction in Hoboken

I would like to leave a review because we just had a magical experience on the Hoboken Boat Charters boat going up and down the Hudson and East River on July 4th. We got to watch two different sets of fireworks and see the statue of liberty. The host and skipper were outstanding. The other guests were great fun!. The views were amazing. We felt like VIPs passing through the private gate on the Marina on pier 13 leaving everyone else behind :) My 14 year old daughter loved it! The boat we went on is very cool with plenty of comfortable space to sit outside or inside if it rains (which it didn't for us, thankfully). There's a restroom on board which is helpful if you are out there for a few hours having a few beers or a glass of wine (as we were - our hosts made sure of it - of course, with soft drinks for my daughter). I'm not familiar with all packages Hoboken Boat Charters offers but we were very well taken care of in terms of making sure we had everything we needed. They provided drinks and we brought our own snacks as suggested and did not feel anything was missing. July 4th on the East River was intense at times with a huge number of boats of all sizes, from ships to basically dinghies (and lots of police boats keeping everyone in order but not in an intrusive way). I mention this because the professionalism of Adam and the Skipper as they navigated the boat traffic was also outstanding. You could tell that they have the safety of the passengers first and foremost in mind and I definitely felt like were were on one of the responsible boats: a boat that paid attention, followed the rules, and knew what they were doing. We rented this boat for my husbands birthday. Everyone cant stop talking about what a fun night it was, thanks Adam and crew. From the moment we booked it couldn't have been easier or better. Adam was so wonderful to work with and made everything run so smoothly. We were able to bring our own booze and food (nibbles mainly). They had plenty of coolers to keep all the wine and beer cold. We played our own playlist through their sound system and set off for a wonderful sunset cruise on the Hudson. They stopped the boat for photo ops and the boat comfortably had 10 of us on the back deck at all times. The views were breathtaking and even my friends who were worried about being sick said it was so smooth. I would recommend this to anyone if you want to do something different or special this is the thing. Birthdays, family outings, kids trips its great for everything. It was a perfect afternoon of of bonding with my elementary school aged kids. Easy to book and board and perfect for after school fun. We joined the kids fishing tour and they learned about the ecology of the Hudson. Every kid on the trip (roughly 10) pulled in their own shark! (Dogfish) while anchored in the calm peaceful waters of Ellis Island under the protecting glance of the Statue of Liberty. We reeled them in as the sun came down and were back at the dock by dinner. The kids were excited to touch an actual shark and relieved to throw it back unharmed. The pictures were amazing and friends and classmates were astonished. The boat was clean and comfortable and the captain and Adam were kind and good with the kids. It was a trip of a lifetime that we can’t wait to return and do again and again.
