Skin by EC ( Winner of Best Facial in Hoboken for over 11 years!) — Attraction in Hoboken

It’s hard to put into words how incredible the team at Skin by EC is. I started coming here about 3 years ago and even after moving to NYC I’ve continued to make the trip to NJ. I often get asked why I would still drive to Hoboken when there are so many great salons and spas in NYC and I can truly say it’s because of the team. Of course the studio is clean, relaxing and beautiful - that’s a given in today’s beauty industry and what we’ve come to expect and demand - but the team is so professional, knowledgeable and beyond skilled, and that’s the difference. In addition to having a talented and educated staff, Skin by EC offers a wide range of treatment options that have completely changed my body and skin. (All I can say is ask about the venus legacy for cellulite reduction. It has changed my life and I’ve gone from not wanting to wear shorts to loving my legs again - thank you!!!)

With that said, I would like to acknowledge Maggie. I have seen her the most frequently over the years and am so grateful that I found her. Her heart is bigger than anyone I know and the minute you see her smile you just know your day is going to get better. Her love for what she does radiates through her work and her positive energy makes you feel comfortable and at ease. She is so clean, knowledgeable and friendly and I trust her recommendations because of how skilled she is. I also appreciate all the little extra things she does during my treatments to make my experience a 15/10. In today’s environment, it’s tough to find people that truly care about their clients and their profession and Maggie is that person. She’s one in a million.

Lastly, I just want to note that it’s not often you find businesses that are “customer centric”, but Skin by EC puts the client at the forefront of everything they do and that’s the difference. I appreciate that the EC team can answer questions clearly and knowledgeably, and can make personalized treatment suggestions that make sense for each individual. I feel so confident walking in and letting them assess and map out my treatment plan because they are that skilled.

When my now husband and I began our wedding planning process I wanted to incorporate regular facials into our process. Prior research led me to EC Beauty and I had a great facial there, so I turned again to EC Beauty for our wedding preparation needs for skin care. Starting in early 2016, we both began going to EC Beauty for monthly facials. While he isn’t likely to post about it, I do think he noticed improvements in his skin and I certainly think it cleared up some pores. I personally found my monthly visits to be both helpful for my complexion as well as very enjoyable. I typically experience at least a once monthly breakout, but after going for a monthly facial and using EC Beauty’s products by PCA Skincare I noticed that my breakouts became few and far between. I also noticed that I felt much better about my skin and could tell when it was time for another visit. Each visit to Erica was enjoyable. She and her team do take the time to remember their clients and treat everyone as if they are a special individual. I found each visit to be very enjoyable, relaxing, rejuvenating and delightful! I also found the visits to be timely (as in on time and conscientious of time) and affordable. As the wedding day approached, Erica made sure that my visits were timed out perfectly to suit my pre-wedding day needs. I also visited EC Beauty for brows with Alicia which were great! Story time. Buckle up. This review is for 5 stars so anyone looking for a reason NOT to go here is not going to find one. Yes, EC Beauty is a place where you can an array of services such as facials, post-op body offering, etc… but don’t sleep on traditional massages. Sports massages, deep tissue massages… Swedish, you get my point. I’ve been going to EC Beauty for massages strictly… I dabbled on eyelash lifting but my heart belongs to those muscle relaxing massages. I would consider myself a massage enthusiast. I have a lot of tension that I carry from work, life and just existing in the world. Each and every time I go to get a massage, Dom/Mathew, have the ability to make me feel lighter and looser (don’t be crass). I feel like a walking jellyfish when I leave. I feel perfectly balanced and zen for my day. I enjoy deep tissue and just hardcore beautifully painful massages. And they deliver based on my tolerance. They are also gentle for those that don’t love deep tissue. I just walked out of my massage with Mathew which focused on my lower half and boy, my calves are happy/angry. I feel amazing. Don’t go to places with super cheap pricing. Those practitioners might not be licensed to bless you with the level of talent the folks at EC have when it comes to massage therapy.
