If you're going for good Korean food, you'll be disappointed. Ordered the chicken Katsu and it was a really thin piece of chicken as if they split a chicken breast into two thin layers and gave you one layer. The chicken was overcooked; it's really dry and chewy.
We also got the soup and rice combo. It was pretty good soup.
The sides are not bad but overall the price was not worth it.
Pretty expensive for food in general. (My two full meals was $40+)
They're only one of a maybe two Korean spots in Hoboken, so you can only compare it with similar restaurants in Manhattan, Fort Lee, Palisades Park or anywhere else really. But comparisons aside, it's just not that great. The presentation and packaging is nice but the food is alright. Looks good in pictures.
Kudos to them for the great marketing and presentation. It's all really nice but I wish they spent more on the quality of food and less on what it looks like. The presentation sets such a bar that when you eat it, you're disappointed.
Maybe I'll try something else next time.
The staff and service was good. They were accommodating...
Read moreI hope you find this information useful, hurting this business is far from my intention, quite the opposite, I don't really like this type of food this is why I don't eat it often but I guess other people love it, I was invited to invite 2 ladies, sisters, one my girlfriend, I paid the bill as it may be expected and it is normal for me to generously do .... our 3 dishes were a combination of the same ingredients except the drinks .... the flavors were good, temperature could have been warmer, our 3 dishes included bbq beef, tasty which had plenty of beef fibers, ligaments and or tendons which the chef did not remove prior to grilling it and serving it so we had to chew until it was too difficult, cumbersome and we had to shamefully but diplomatically remove it from our mouths into napkins .... I would have to try all other dishes to be fair in my public opinion but I will not be able to anytime soon, I wished the grilled tasty meat had no tendons in it oh well, we ate 90% and mine made me sleepy soon after so I believe it was...
Read moreSuch a great and convienent place! Location is just a 5 min walk away from the train station and it's a nice, cozy atmosphere. I went here around 1 week after they opened to try out the rolled ice cream and it was heaven. You get to watch the guy make it in front of you and it's such a fun experience. Went there this evening before work and tried out the bowl for the first time and it was so yummy. I got the Korean Fried Rice and chicken breast, and for the sides I had the water cress, spicy slaw, cheese and sriracha sour cream. Honestly, for how cheap the price was, they give you a lot of food with great flavors. Luckily, my job is only a bit over a block away from the place. Definitely my new holy grail! Can't to try more flavors from here. The workers are very...
