Ala Moana Beach — Attraction in Honolulu

My wife and I really enjoyed our visit to this park. We arrived about 7:00 p.m. on a Friday which is about an hour before the weekly fireworks display from the Hilton. There were many groups set up throughout the grassy areas with families having picnics and barbecues and just having fun together. This was such a great thing to see and we assume it's something that happens every week. It spoke to us. It makes us realize that we should be setting time aside just for family whether we are spending it playing games, at the park, or whatever. I was just there today and I didn’t go in the water my family did and had them get right out! I was finding fecal contaminants and collected them in a small container and brought it to the attention of a lifeguard who was not surprised! I wish I took a picture! it was all washed ashore and at first I thought it was dog sh!t but as I kept walking I found more! That is scary. My beautiful home....

Great little part of the Ala Moana Park that extends out into the ocean. This lagoon is the best part of the park. On a calm sunny day this place is great to relax.
