Went here because it was promoted on You Tube channels as one of the best buffets in Honolulu. Ehhh it's pretty good. Price is 85 dollars a person. Having to spend on average 50 dollars a day of food here this is not much of a stretch, but I expected something more substantial in terms of quality and selection. Mind you the food was excellent, but I guess has inflated expectations of the place. Sushi was limited to hand rolls and maki. Sashimi at the time was tuna, salmon and marlin. I never had marlin before so I was eager to try it out. Nothing special. Fish quality was good though. Prime rib was excellent, it was rare, slightly bloody yet tender and juicy. Well done. Goe great with the fresh horse radish sauce. The buffet was well worth if you are into crabs. Snow Crabs and the Dungeness crab were of very high quality with very firm flesh. Oysters were very plump and juicy. Very high quality. Boiled shrimp is the one treated with sodium, a bit bouncy but ok. Clam chowder was very nice, not too many potatoes as filler. Poke was ok, a little too much soy sauce in it, but acceptable. They also give a small chocolate can slice for birthdays. Staff prompts all visiting parties if there is a special occasion for their visit. Hot dishes need to be replaced, the food was running low and were actually drying out. Bread pudding was very good, and I'm not a big fan of it. Fruit and Salad bar is of the churrascaria variety and quality. If you are the person who likes to hog the seafood for the buffet, this place is for you, otherwise the other offerings are good, not exceptional. Personally, I would just load up on the Dungeness crab, but that is just me.

I'm not gonna lie, the buffet is a bit pricey at $62 per person for the kama'aina rate, but it's a solid deal for the quality of food. Service is awesome, very attentive waitstaff who comes by to refill drinks or take empty plates really quickly. Very friendly as well. It's been the same everytime I've eaten here. Food is excellent. Prime rib was on point tonight. I normally don't go back for seconds, but tonight the prime rib was seasoned so well, medium rare...and not a lot of fat! Best prime rib I've had in a long time. Next to the prime rib is the sushi hand roll station where you get to choose from a list of 5 or 6 different hand rolls. I always go for the crispy salmon skin rolls, spicy tuna, and tuna mayo rolls. Service is quick, but you're only allowed to order 2 rolls at a time. With all the other food available it's all good. Entrees available were deep fried oysters, red snapper, some type of cheesy linguine with cream sauce, eggplant parmesan, and...I dont recall the last item. Crab legs were good according to my gf. I am allergic so...no comment from me on them. Highlight of the evening is by far the soup of the day! Oxtail soup! The oxtails were in a steamer with all the fixings on the side and broth in a large pot. There was bok choy, cilantro, ginger, peanuts...and I'm probably missing something but meh, I remember what I can... either way it was delicious...and it was the only dish I managed to take a pic of! Parking is validated there. We went for an early Valentine's Day dinner to avoid the masses on Friday and this buffet did not disappoint!

Ate here a couple of times. Once for brunch buffet and another time Golden Hour / happy hour food and drink. The happy hour food was actually pretty good and affordable. The drinks were pretty good as well. Happy hour is definitely the way to go for value. The brunch was pretty good but overpriced I think. Good selection of mainly breakfast foods. Word of caution: if you go on the weekend, the price changes dramatically. I think they have a special Sunday Brunch or something, and it was 89 USD per person, which is a rip off. The usual brunch was around 35 USD, which is reasonable for a fancy hotel restaurant. Service is really good and the bartender at happy hour was outstanding and friendly. Golden hour is 5/5 stars, brunch buffet 4/5. 2024 update: stayed here again and had an outstanding experience at the 100 sails restaurant. Went here mainly for Golden Hour - their happy hour. The Staff were super friendly. Robert at the bar was very nice and made some outstanding drinks. The food was outstanding. The chicken kaarage is outstanding. The presentation of the food has been upgraded and is really good. Again, staff were amazing. Some of the service staff even wrote down some suggestions of places to stop on a road trip we were going. Will definitely return.

I was watching a bunch of YouTube videos before visiting Waikiki and this place was highly recommended for not only their brunch but their dinner buffet. I was there for my birthday dinner and was excited to experience all that it had to offer. I really wish it was worth the hype unfortunately it was not. The service was fantastic, I can not say enough of the team there. The food however, was not worth the $80-$90 of the price. Lackluster food consisting of crab legs, prime rib, varies poke, and hand rolls which I was most excited about. Prime rib had really no flavor to it and a little bit chewy than other times I had it before. Was really looking for a flavor packed crust but it was just absent. Such a let down. Most of the other dinner items weren’t really rotated as much as they should. Chicken was dry and the rolls were hard. The crab legs were really the only thing I went back and got a second plate of. I was thinking in my head “I gotta at least eat some of this buffet to make the price worth it” About 30 minutes later. Both my girlfriend and I didn’t feel quite right. Asked for the check, paid and ordered our Uber back to our hotel.

100 Sails buffet is definitely a seafood lovers dream, we went with friends and made a reservation which is recommended for peak hours. When we arrived we checked in and we're seated promptly at our scheduled time. The seating area was a bit cold but not unbearable. The restaurant was clean and inviting, the seating area was clean, well maintained and modern. The buffet was loaded with all kinds of seafood dishes, sushi, prime rib, salads, pasta salad and more. I myself am not a seafood eater and was hoping for a little more variety at the buffet for the non seafood lover but was out of luck. Fortunately they have a regular menu I was able to order from. I had the chicken picatta with great mash potatoes and asparagus. Warm dinner rolls came with it just for me as well 😊. Philip was our waiter and he was very attentive to us and is a staple of the establishment. There is mete parking out front if you're lucky enough to get that, which was a dollar a hour. Otherwise there is garage parking around the corner. Save room and don't eat for the day so you can pack 50 bucks worth of seafood in your belly when you check this place out.
