I come from a poor town and I like any good street food, but I have to say this was a bit on the sloppy side. I just walked up randomly and saw the outside order window, and was about to order but saw all the birds and was thinking there might be an inside section as the building looked big enough. I asked the guy if there's a back part with seating inside and he kind of sarcastically said yea. I wasn't sure what the tone was about but maybe he just didn't hear me right or something. I walked to the back there was no interior. I walked back and just kind of said, uh yea there's no back. I was in a good mood and I just thought he's just one of those guys that are not happy, so that's just how he's gonna behave. So I didn't really make anything of it and ordered and ate my food. There were a lot of homeless people around that kind of bug people eating. I just talked to them like normal and they didn't mess with me too much but they definitely weren't happy. I felt bad because I kind of see what's happening. But I dunno, I think it's a little too much... The dirtiness, environment, attitude, food. I can't say if the attitude from the clerk was just the guy or if it's because I had a camera, but all I'm doing is buying coffees, reading my book, taking pictures of palm trees, and going swimming. It could be a little bit better I think. I don't think acting like...
Read moreAlright food but the area is absolutely trash. There is a homeless population all around Ala Moana beach and they will pretty much always be at L&L barbecue. We watched one homeless guy rant about Child P**n in front of the ordering window for about 10 minutes. Nobody in line felt comfortable enough to order so 5 different groups left and went somewhere else. The lady at the window will not say anything to these homeless so you are pretty much at their mercy and subject to their harassment about their ramblings while you wait in line and order. The homeless also enjoy opening and messing with the condiments on the side window after you get your food so I don’t recommend using any of it. If that doesn’t scare you off then the homeless picking their toenails and shirtless at the benches will. L&L is a convenience only because it’s next to the beach for us tourists, there’s good drinks. But if you’re looking for lunch Go eat at Konos BBQ for some better pork and safer eating....

It's really enough two people to share. You might just add a side salad.....(Previously) The L&L stand at Ala Moana Beach Park has nice healthy options including green side salad and brown rice. The service is great. Unfortunately the homeless can be a bit aggressive here. They refuse food and only want cash 😬 They are very persistent about asking for cash... Hard to sit down and enjoy your meal. There are other tables and benches not too far away. (Suggest sitting on the beach while watching the sunset!) The prices are very fair...
