Decided to come and try this cute Cafe area. :) And I absolutely love it! Their menu is amazing and I love that we got to buy Jars, because not only does it save on plastic use, but for every time you bring your jar back for any drink of choice... you get a discount off your drink. :3 Although the Cafe is small and cute, there isn't much room in terms of seating. I'm not sure about the rules of the mall, but I do sort of wish they had outside seating for people to pass by and enjoy as well, Now, the food on the other hand, I had so much fun with it... there were so many different fun things, so I went with da Aloha sandwich. A basic cheese sandwich but just colored as a rainbow. 🌈 I especially loved it because it allowed me to be a child again and do that fun action of stretching the cheese of the sandwich. 🥪 The pesto, I loved eating. I had it with the homemade recipe tomato soup they had. As while my other half got to enjoy his portion of sandwich choice and drink. There is fruit smoothies, like the one I had called the four seasons. While my other half had peanut butter and banana smoothie. As well as the Nutella frappe. :) I had so much fun as this location and I especially love their resin table piece. It blew my mind and was so amazing to see in person! Because you don't come across beautiful resin pieces like that everyday! It's among the pictures! ;) But I just absolutely loved being here. And thank you so much to Honolulu bistro for their...
Read moreSummary: The food was so so good and the experience was great. I would come back here again (andi would have returned, but didn’t get a chance to before we left).
Food: a great selection of grilled sandwiches. We got the chipotle grilled sandwich and the pastrami. The pastrami was the star of the show - juicy pastrami and just the right amount of cheese. The accompanying sauce was also so delicious. The chipotle sandwich was great too, no complaints there but i think i genuinely like pastrami better (personal preference). The bread used is not sweet (I am Australian and notice the bread in the States tastes very sweet, which is why I have made comment about it), so it tastes VERY GOOD. I loved this place.
Pricing: Decent for a grilled sandwich. I would pay those prices again.
Location: It can be hard to find - it is on the car park level of Ala Moana. You will have to ask for directions to get there if you are trying to intentionally find it. There is indoor seating (no outdoor seating) and there is about 5 seats. We arrived at around 1pm and there was no lines, the shop was not busy.
I would recommend this place to grilled cheese lovers, for sure. I am looking forward to returning if i ever...
Read moreI was so hyped to eat at this place, the rainbow grilled cheese is such a cool concept, the colors are so vibrant. I was so excited to eat her, but was kinda disappointed in the price, and lack luster cashier...
Ordered a bunch of sandwiches, soup, and a drink.
Pastrami was awesome. Absolutely delicious.
The pesto deluxe was not what I expected, I would not order it again. It was way too sweet because of the sun dried tomatoes, I couldn't even tell there was pesto or turkey on it. I was very disappointed.
The regular pesto was very similar to the deluxe, so not worth the price for the deluxe. Would not order either of these again, it's acquired taste.
The rainbow grilled cheese, was just awesome looking, taste just like a grilled cheese with choke butter.
The drink I can't comment on, as it was ordered by someone in my family. Looked good, green juice.
Then the tomato soup.... Super one dimensional, maybe I was under the impression that it was more bisque like, but it was just as it says, tomato soup. So maybe it's ok for those who don't mind the just tomato flavor.
Overall, I'd go back to eat the pastrami and possible try something sweet.
Not the best,...
