Waikiki Beach Church — Attraction in Honolulu

We arrived Saturday on the island and I was happy to hear they had church service by our hotel. I wasn’t sure where, how close or how far but I want to attend. So happy when I found it, on Sunday, it was so close to our hotel. Service was beautiful. Just because we were on vacation didn’t mean we can’t attend church while we are away from home. They had canopies for guest and they handed out fans. When we went to the service it was on Father’s Day and plenty of people attended. They made an announcement before service started telling attendees if they wanted to get baptized to stay after services. I’ve been wanted to get baptized for a bit and it was just beautiful getting baptized in Hawaii. The ocean was warm and the Pastor’s prayers were heartwarming. Best...

Attending the Sunday service at Waikiki Beach Church was the major highlight of our trip to Oahu. The people are very friendly. Their love of God is evident in their wonderful worship in songs, the sermon (the brother who preached on humility is truly blessed with the talents of teaching!) and their Hawaiian and flag dances. The setting was absolutely beautiful and it was wonderful to see the people who were nearby suntanning on the beach also blessed with the worship, sermon and dance. The church truly reaches out to others in the finest possible way! We enjoyed every moment of the service and felt very blessed. Wish they would have the service online so we can worship with them in Canada. We would definitely go back to this church next time we visit...

Very mix feeling after the service. Very good opening of service, boring Pastor sermon and sad finish. I don't knew if the sermon was addressed to visitors attending the church or regular members. I was surprised by the service end. I never heard in any of countries that the service is finished by singing that country anthem. I think it is separation between church and the government but not in that church. Instead of glory to the God they finished by singing US anthem. Also glorified US veterans which didn't go to war for humanitarian reason but to kill people.... What's the mess... I had mix fillings, God bless...
