Checked in yesterday and to say I’m disappointed is an understatement!!! We had booked a room for our family of five in the supposed “newly renovated” Tapas tower. We were told the Tapas Family Rooms were newly remodeled… what a lie! The hotel may be in the very slow process of renovating but these rooms are NOT remodeled and renovated! They are old and filthy!

This is by far the dirtiest hotel I’ve ever been in! Room 1 had chip crumbs on the sitting chair as well as the floor, it clearly wasn’t vacuumed. The walls were filthy, smudges all over the furniture, it was ridiculous. My husband went down to the front desk and they told him they’d move us to a better and nicer room. Well, we get to the second room and there are multiple hairs all over the two bathroom counters, hair on the toilet, another dirty floor (tile and carpet), a crack in the corner on the entryway door and trim. Uneven floors. And top it off the view sucks looking at a torn down bldg! I called the front desk yet again and they offered to try another room or have house cleaning come up. How many times will we have to move with 3 children to get a clean and acceptable room? How about move us to a different building that’s actually renovated and clean. Even after house cleaning came it’s still dirty, this is not ok! We’re here for a week and I already want to leave and it’s only day one. When we got back from a swim and entered the room the lights didn’t turn on when flipping the switch. I had to search for the lamps in the dark. This is absolutely absurd!!!

I’d think twice about coming here, and stay far away from the Tapas tower! I’ve been a fan of Hilton and have stayed at many… not anymore and certainly not here! Don’t waste...

I had been travelling both domestic and international and this hotel is NOT what Hilton stands for. The room we was given was a partial view instead of full ocean view that I booked. I discussed this with rhe front desk and I was told I have to pay an additional $95 PER NIGHT to get and ocean view.

Resort fee - $130 for two nights regardless if you use the amenities or not.

Parking is NOT free. You have to pay an additional $65 per night if you self park and $75 per night for valet parking.

Now to the most exciting part, the ROOM! Well, I have stayed in a lot of Hilton hotels travelling and this is by far the most outrageous, dirtiest hotel I have ever been in. The lights at our bathroom was flickering. Vents to the bathroom is nasty dirty I feel like it haven't been cleaned in ages. The bathroom itself smelled like mildew and piss. The room is VERY outdated. Everything was rusty. Carpets? Very dirty. I am allergic to mold and mildew and this place is mold and mildew heaven. My family was sick the first day we stayed here.

Again, if you want a nice relaxing vacation where you will be greeted with a clean, comfortable room, this place is not for you. All it had is inconvenience. We paid $645 for two nights and wished we could have spent our money elsewhere. The pictures you see on the internet is misleading. This place is a tourist trap. DO...

Okay, 1st off the room service we had was amazing! They came in every day to clean the room. I will say there seems to be some inconsistencies though. We had three rooms two on the 33rd floor and one on the 16th. The rooms on the 33rd floor got great service and updated decor, plus a great view. The one on the 16th had a slightly dated look and room service was not every day. So it seems like the more you pay here the more you get, like most of these resort hotels. However, there seemed to be a larger difference here. Lower rooms got less of a beach view, older furniture, less service and were closer to the loud music playing pretty much every night at the outdoor bar.

The elevator situation could get annoying too. One set went up to the top 35th or something floor and went down to 19th or the lobby. The other only went up to about 19 and went down to all the others. When it gets busy, you can be stopping 20 times since there seem to be the only elevators for this tower.

The overall location was nice, the Hilton Hawaiian Village is beautiful and very walkable. It's very close to the beach and has pools as well. It's a nice place to stay, it's just the best location for rooms is the top floors which...

We just wrapped up a 5-night stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Tapa Tower, and it was a fantastic experience! The resort was buzzing with energy, but even with the crowds, we found plenty to enjoy. The lagoon by the Rainbow Tower was a lot of fun, though not quite as warm as the ocean, but it’s a nice option if you’re looking for a calm spot to relax. The beach was always busy, but since we visited in mid-September, there weren't too many families with kids, which kept things more peaceful. Our room in the Tapa Tower was really nice, recently updated and super comfortable. We stayed on the 25th floor and had a partial ocean view, which was such a treat. The King bed was incredibly comfortable, making it easy to rest after long days exploring. The bathroom layout was convenient, with the toilet and shower on one side and the sink on the other. There was also a second sink and a closet, which came in handy. Plus, the mini fridge was tucked away in the cabinets, giving the room a sleek, organized feel. Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely recommend the Tapa Tower for a great blend of comfort and location.

Booked a corner Oceanview 1 bdrm suite for 5. Huge room, location and view were great, and 2 separate balconies offered 2 distinctly different views. There were 2 bathrooms, but only 1 shower. However, room maintenance was not up to par. Window glass was badly smudged, shower curtain was obviously torn, coffee brewer was dirty. While room was booked for 5 people, room was equipped with 2 towels, 2 coffee cups, 2 glasses, no extra pillows, and 1 extra set of sheets/blankets. The room was bare bones with regard to amenities...no room service, toiletries consisted of 1 tiny soap square at each sink, and a shower cap. Hair products were mounted in the shower, but the hair conditioner container was completely empty. All in all, not up to par with the Hilton brand and a huge disappointment considering the room prices charged. Although I am a Hilton Gold, no Hilton amenities were offered since "I booked it through a 3rd party, AMEX Travel."

We stayed in a recently renovated junior suite on the 25th floor. It was spacious and quite nice. The staff was friendly, and everything worked the way that it should. The couch even folds out so the room holds more than the advertised 5 people. My only real disappointments here were the ocean view being obstructed by the other towers and the lack of microwave in the suite. Ice machines on several floors were broken, and we had to make trips upstairs to find working machines. There's a window in the bathtub, although it doesn't open. That seemed odd, but it did provide some natural sunlight. It could have used a cleaning, though.
