Neartown Church — Attraction in Houston

Full disclosure: I'm a member of this church. But, that means I can provide more than just a review of a Sunday service.

I know the leadership and a great deal of the community here, and I can say it's an excellent church. My family has served here for several years now, and we have grown to love these people. The church strikes a great balance of grace and truth, is clear in its message, and firmly rooted in the Bible. Yet, they are intensely people-focused. They love on visitors and work hard to incorporate new people. It's ironic, but in a city as big as Houston it's often so hard to find real, authentic community, a place of belonging. Neartown does a good job of fostering that kind of connection with others, centered in Christ.

If you've just moved into the area and are looking for a solid church, firmly rooted, and also a fun community, you should give this one a try. Or, if you don't consider yourself a Christian, but you're looking for something that offers hope, Neartown is a great place to start...
