Alley Kat — Restaurant in Houston

So my best friend and I are here at the Alley cat on a Monday night We just came out to vibe and unfortunately the experience has not been very favorable. We ordered wings and a drink and our bill was 80 plus dollars and we've been waiting for our food for almost an hour now. Tonight is all you can eat wings and we really wanted to experience the all you can eat wings as we received six wings per order. So we've talked to two different waitresses at this point and have yet to be served our six wings each. The cost of all you can eat wings was $25 each and we have not had an opportunity to have six wings as we have been waiting for nearly an hour, the place is not really busy but we see that it's extremely unorganized because there are people who came in after us who are now eating. The place was nice but the bartender tried to make me start a tab when I didn't want one. "She asked you want a tab?" I responded no I dont want a tab, I just want to pay for the drink. Then she said ok I closed you out. Im looking like ummm I need to sign my receipt and get a copy please, honey I'm paying with a debit card, Im not illiterate. To my surprise this hard headed woman didnt want to give me a receipt that was a indicator that she lied and was on that bull💩! Apparently she started a tab anyway, so I demanded a receipt because I was paying with my debit card. She gave me one, after eyes stop rolling. So my drink was $7.50 which was fine. I tipped her in cash. I hate a shady bartender. So I left and went to Big Top next door and continued my drinking. At least Big Top bartender didnt try to cheat me and force me to keep a tab open.In the future if I decide to return to this place I recommend to myself and everyone to pay in cash because sad to say there is a shady...

Really cool spot to go to if you just want to get out the house. There is no cover charge and its multiple things going on here.The setting fits the name well, there's definitely an alley there. I've seen people smoke in the alley as well as people conversing. I've been upstairs a few times and there is always a band or something else going on. If you get bored with that then you can go back downstairs and mingle. I like this spot mostly because it is a great place to go to if you want to network with people. On several occasions I've met different people from different industries and from different parts of the country. The only thing I dislike is the bathroom. The last time I was there the line was long for women that, women started using the men's restroom.

This is my go to place for when I just want to get out the house. One thing to be aware of is parking. You may have to park near the Breakfast Klub or find street parking. I would recommend if accessible...
