Please do not go to this hospital! I was supposed to get induced Saturday morning and we were on our way when they called not to come In. Then they called 7 hours later to come in ASAP. So we went. The nurse was really nice but didnāt know what she was doing. Then the second nurse laughed at my contractions pain. And they didnāt explain that after you ask for epidural it will take at least another hour to get it. People wearing regular clothes kept coming in and nobody knew who they were. After 15 hours in labor I finally started pushing. I was pushing for one hour (the headwas visible) when there was a shift change. My new nurse got me pushing for another 15 min and suddenly left the room, left me alone with all the machines turned down so I couldnāt even hear my sons heart beat. She was gone for the whole hour when the doctor came to check on me and she was very surprised to see that Iām not pushing and that I was completely alone in the room (only my fiancĆ©). So the doctor got super mad at the nurse, once she managed to find her. Now the real nightmare begins... Pushing for another 3 hours!!!! The baby went back in. I was in labor for about 20 hours now and I had no energy left in my body. The nurse had to catch up on her paperwork since she was gone for an hour and with every contraction she screams push, push but she is playing on the computer instead of helping me. My fiancĆ© was holding one of my legs up while the other leg was on the bed. She was so mean and so unprofessional. She was also super rude and made fun of my pain. Since I couldnāt push anymore she turned down my epidural just to make me push but I had nothing left in me. Suddenly I had about10 people in my room looking at me screaming to push. Finally one of the older ladies asked me to lift my arm, trying to clean me up after I threw up a few times. I couldnāt lift my arm anymore. She was helping me and realized my body is giving up and she said they should start getter mag me ready for a c section. And there I go into the operating room. I was ok with a c section at that point, I just wanted my baby to come out safe. What made me write this review is that I am traumatized by all the events but the worst thing is that I didnāt hold my baby until 3 hours later. Why did I not get to touch my baby in the operating room? Why was I in the recovery room crying alone without my child or anyone helping me? So finally my first nurse comes back and replaces the horrible nurse and I heard her say thanks for coming in early, my sister was in a car accident this morning. So because of that the nurse left the room, she went on the phone to call and ask about her sister and left me and my child to figure it out on our own. We couldāve died. I am going through the worst emotional pain Iāve ever felt because of the nurse that didnāt care. Iām gonna have to get a professional help to get over this because Iāve been crying for 5 months now and I canāt get over it. I will never give a sibling to my child because of this nurse. I feel like they robbed me and took something that should be the best experience of my life- the joy of motherhood. Let me just mention that the first nurse was crying with me in the recovery room and once she took me to my room she was hugging me and my fiancĆ© apologizing for the other nurses action. She was good. So was the rest of my experience at the hospital. Especially the lactation nurse, she was so awesome. But nothing counts anymore after what Iāve been through because of that one nurse and after the hospital couldnāt even give me a call to apologize. And I know they know about this situation because my doctor said she called them to tell them all this. And they sent me the letter asking about my hospital experience and I was honest and also asked to call me so we can talk but nobody bothered to call. So no, do not go to this hospital because they donāt care. Accidents happen but itās what happens after and how they handle the situation...

if you don't want to read what happened to my mom skip to bullet points My mom was rushed to the hospital for being unresponsive. Since this was the closest one, she had no choice. After all the scans, tests and the MRI they discover that she is hemorrhaging from the brain. They began to tell us she has brain cancer but wanted to do more tests to "be sure". Instead of transferring my mom to MD Anderson (where she is already a patient) they wanted to keep her there to "run more tests" even though they are not capable of handling her type of situation. We kept asking to be transferred, and they kept ensuring us that they were going to arrange everything and talk to her doctors and everything was going to be taken care of. At the end of the stay, they never called or talk to anyone at MD Anderson, they DISCHARGED my mom instead of transferring her because they now said she didn't have brain cancer (which she does), they didn't provide us with any of disks from the MRI/Scans to show MD Anderson what they had found, so once we arrived there ALL of those tests had to be done all over again.
Check-in staff was so rude, she didn't even acknowledged me or speak to me, when I asked for help, just pointed the security desk.
Some of nurses have some of the worst bedside manner. Example: the radiologic tech told the nurse that she had did a upper MRI versus a full body and had to re-do it the next day. They began to have a conversation about the doctor: the tech asked the nurse if the doctor seemed strict about the error that was made and the nurse said "no, she seems OK, but I don't work tomorrow". These are not conversations that staff should be having in front of patients. She also brought my mom ice cold soup straight from the refrigerator and when we brought it to her attention she just blew us off and didn't offer anything else.
Doctors were very unprofessional, seemed annoyed when there was people in the room with my mom or when I asked even the smallest questions. Always in a rush and just repeated the same information the other doctor stated. We weren't allowed to spend the night with my mom in ICU.
Don't ever come here. Unfortunately we didn't have a choice but if you are reading these reviews to see if this hospital is a good place for your medical needs, stay away! And please don't bother to post some generic message about how concerned you are. By the treatment we received, the condition of the facility, and the poor work ethic/morals that your staff portrays, I know you don't care about addressing any of these concerns or making...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe where at the ER this morning terrible experience. This morning my wife woke up with terrible terrible pain in her side. So since we live in a high rise here in downtown and the hospital was only 3 to 4 blocks away I thought it would be a no brainer. Well when we got there we where the only ppl so I thought good no wait. Well I was wrong the security guard was rude and talk to us like we where stupid. He said we had to fill out the paperwork on the desk but I didn't see and other workers just him. So I filled the paper work while my wife was in so much pain and crying. Then I took it to the front desk still no 1. I raised my voice slightly and said hello many times. finally a black lady peeked out from around the corner and told me to just wait. I was like what? I've been waiting u don't even know how bad my wife is she in excruciating pain and crying I was really worried and they could care less. Finally the ER doors open from in back so I quickly ran to the back they were all out there just talking and laughing so I raised my voice just enough where everyone could here me. I said helloo are we not in an ER y isn't anyone concerned my wife is in terrible pain. Can someone plsplspls come at least see how much pain she's in so u can see this is an emergency. Do I have to go to another hospital? Then a really nice white lady walked over and said yes sorry let's go get her. She signed us in and I thought ok cool. I began to be a bit relived. We got to a room then she layed down still in alot of pain. This is where I got so up set and we I met her nurse "John" at first he seemed nice enough. He took blood and left. Then when he came back I asked him a couple of concerning questions. He was so rude to me like I had no right to ask them. All I asked wher things I felt that where important. From that point he was so mean and rude he ignored me evertime I talked to him he disappeared for long long periods of time when she would need somthing I litteraly would have to ask accounting and they would get another nice lady to come and help. This John guy was the worst and rudest nurse I had ever met. I litteraly had to get another doctor on the phone to know what too do. If u ever end up going to the ER here plsplspls avoid this John guy he is white has a beard. Get ready to wait along time for nothing. The Doctors where nice. But again our nurse John was the rudest guy ever. And they couldnt blame it on other ppl the ER only had maybe 4to 6 patients at the most that I saw and there staff was full. This experience here was terrible I really hope u ppl pls fix these problems. And at least do an investigation on this John guy and watch his customer...
