Read moreThe food is usually good here and customer service is USUALLY good as well. I gave 2 stars today. I am really disappointed in my service today, Jan 9, 2022. My sister is on bed rest and I decided to stop at one of our favorite restaurants near her home, to cheer her up today. The lady at the cash register was nice. I know they are trying to get orders out, but I felt "rushed " today. I had questions and because of the answers that were given by management, I needed to change my order, but I do not have the menu items memorized. So, It's like I got on their nerves. I am usually a regular drive-thru customer at this location since COVID. They are usually very good. Today, I guess I asked too many questions. I ordered two mixed plates with the same meat choices. I hardly got anything in one to-go container, VERY SKIMPY on one and great on the other. There was literally 2.5 small strips of chicken on one and two pinch small pieces of brisket in and the usual amount on the other. I could not even make the small child a small brisket sandwich , and DEFINITELY NOT a chicken sandwich. I paid the same and I should have gotten the same good in both. I have never gotten a skimpy plate at any of the Pappas BBQ restaurants that I frequent in the past 30 years. I sure have gotten equally good amounts if I ordered the same plates. Imagine my family opening the box or to-go container and seeing THAT. We were all shocked. I tried to call and was put on hold when I asked fora manager. The manager never even asked for my number to call back or what was the issue. I was on hold so long that it hung up. I called again, twice, no answer. So I decided a review was in order. I would like a response and will be going further. The food is good tasting, as always. Customer service was ok, except the tone from the young lady in management. I promise, I was not rude. I am a long...
Read moreThey took my to go order, but 5 minutes after I paid, the cashier informed me that they did not have anymore chicken. She asked me to choose something different, but while I was looking at the menu, another couple eating in, who had not paid, got the last half chicken. I wanted to ask how this could happen, but just held my tongue. I ordered the brisket sandwich to replace my missing half chicken. I waited at the to go register, and watched the man cutting meat do literally everything, except make my sandwich for 10 minutes. I finally asked the cashier to go remind him, and there was a little angry attitude from him to her. He finally took out the bun and proceeded to put mustard on it and what looked like 1/4 of a diced onion on it. I immediately told the cashier no mustard or onion. She ran back to tell him, and an angry exchange again, so she put a new bun on the grill herself. He walked over to me and put his face close to my face and asked me if there was anything else that I did not want on the brisket sandwich, so I pointed out to him that on the description it does not say mustard. He proceeded to list everything that came on it, and asked if I wanted it. He then walked back to make the sandwich, and proceeded to ask me if I wanted pickle. The scene obviously made one of the ladies who makes the side dishes angry because I watched her put bags over my side dishes that had been sitting on the counter ready for about 20 minutes, I assume in an attempt to hide them, because she bagged my food without them. I checked my bag and told her that my yams and macaroni and cheese were not in my bag, and she immediately grabbed them from underneath all the bags and put them in my bag without saying a word. The food was for my son, and he was very hungry, or I would have asked for my money back, and went...
