Warhammer — Attraction in Huber Heights

Update for new manager: The store is even better than it used to be, noticeably more welcoming. Anthony is a fantastic guy who has in a short amount of time built a good strong community filled with fantastic people. During the course of our visit today, we saw him help a kid with his first models, helped a married couple build their first models and got them into the hobby, and offer to teach a new person the game. Additionally, he offered continued painting and modeling advice should any of them want it. He also set up a wonderful little monster v monster battle that got the whole store invested in and excited about the game.

On top of all that, the store was clear of politics, was kept PG, fun, and rarest of all, the people in there treated my wife like a person. In most board game stores and hobby spaces, the guys stare at her the entire time, but not so here. For a group of complete strangers that we met in the store, it felt like talking to old friends. Visited in mid August of 2023 to purchase supplies to get started painting miniatures. Got everything I wanted, lots of helpful advice and enjoyed talking to the person who I believe to be the proprietor. (I didn't ask, but he seemed like he might be the owner.) Lots of miniatures to pick from, gaming tables, books, everything you would expect. The hours and days in Maps agree with what he told me they are at the time I visited. Something I tried when I was way younger, I came in with the sudden boom in popularity recently, and was greeted by Antony who was extremely helpful. Had no clue on how much has changed and he was very kind and patiently answered any questions I had regarding any of it for both 40k and Sigmar. Wasn’t planning on getting back into the minis or tabletop, but Antony really helped that push. Helped us set up a model step by step!
