Took my fiancées wedding ring in to simply have it sized; nothing else was asked to be done to the ring , but to bring it down a quarter in size. We left it with the jeweler and they told us it would be done in a couple of days, a couple of days later they called saying the ring was done, and it was done a day earlier than expected. Went and got the ring and they didn't just size it they fixed a prong on the ring without asking for permission and then when replacing that prong they decided to put a different diamond in the spot. ( A smaller diamond) They left a big blob of silver in the spot where they put a different diamond, trying to make it look bigger than it was. When we asked why the diamond looked smaller he had stated " Oh after we sized it and put the ring in the cleaner a diamond had fallen out, so I grabbed the first diamond I found at the bottom of the cleaner and put it back in the ring", In the end they put up a fuss with us saying they weren't going to pay for the cost to get it fixed if we didn't give it back to them to fix, we sent it back to the original place that we purchased it from to have it fixed , because we were not going to let them handle our ring again , with the amount of disrespect that was put into it the first time. when we sent it back to the original place we bought it from to have it fixed this is what they had found wrong with our ring, "Our goldsmith took a look at Sienna's ring and here is the breakdown of what repairs are needed and what she recommends. She recommends keeping the center stone in place as it looks like it has not been worked on. Feel free to call me to go over it too.
-Re rounding out the ring, as it is slightly oval, and we will clean up the solder seem in shank. -Replacing the 1.2mm diamond that is in halo and setting it with 1.5mm stone (same size as others in halo) -Retip all 4 prongs that are holding in the 1.5mm stone -Rhodium Finish Ring."
Here is everything I spotted wrong after getting the ring back . -First photo with the yellow arrow shows the blob of silver where they said they replaced a prong , also shows the center diamond off center. -Second photo shows the blob also, -Third photo the diamond by the prong they replaced looks smaller than all the other diamonds, ( I’m curious if that is the original diamond that was there when I gave them my ring, the diamond looks smaller.) -Fourth picture shows a picture of the ring when we first bought it from Goldsmith Gallery ( This can show what my ring looked like before we gave it to Jensen Jewelers to size. -The fifth and sixth photo shows a Sauter mark where they sized the ring. -Last photo is what the ring looked like before we gave it to Jensen Jewelers to size. -There is also some discoloration on the side of the ring where they replaced the prong.
I highly highly do NOT recommend this store...
Read morewould give them negative stars if that was even an option. this company has completely changed from what people are claming what it used to be. they completely seperate business from morality and while they might do everything legally, when it comes to morals and helping people out they are far from it. jensen jewelers was the first store we walked into when we started ring shopping. we made our intentions very clear that we were there just to look and weren't planning to purchase anything until november. the whole time we were there, they were trying to force us to buy a ring. they kept showing us ring after ring and kept talking about pricing. they asked if we wanted to fill out credit preapproval paperwork, which we didnt want to do, but felt pressured into it. we were told that's ALL we were signing. we left the store knowing we would not ever buy a ring from them because of their sales tactics. a month later (which was conveniently after the return period expired) my boyfriend got a letter in the mail saying we had a payment due. We didn't even have a ring in our possession. we immediately went back to the store to get it resolved and signed a paper saying we didn't buy the ring. The sales associate told us that it would be taken care of and we didn't have to worry about it anymore. We again took them at their word. another month later we got a call from the store manager saying that we still owned the ring and needed to come pick it up. we tried talking to them several times and explained what happened. the manager was unhelpful and told us because the return period had already expired he "couldn't" do anything. we then talked to the cfo who said he "couldn't" do anything either. they were both completely unsympathetic and unapologetic saying that their sales person would never do anything like what we were claiming. we finally talked to the ceo and he told us he was at least willing to help us after he got all the information from the store manager. my boyfriend called him back later and he said he wouldn't do anything either. we realize we made a mistake by trusting what the sales person told us and not reading what we signed. This is a mistake that will never happen again. we're now stuck with a ring we never wanted and a payment we knew we weren't ready to make because money matters more than people at jenson jewelers. not to mention they are also so overpriced and about twice as expensive everywhere else we've looked. we wouldn't ever recommend it to anyone, especially since it's a company that takes advantage of people. please share and help get out word out if you've felt taken advantage of or had any bad...
Read moreI would not recommend these guys to anyone. My husband bought my wedding ring here, and we have had issue, after issue for over 6 years. First it was the interest rate (he was lied to about). Then it was the payments (he was lied to about). We paid off the ring in 5 months, because the interest was high, and the payment was very high. Both of which were not included in the contract, go figure. We bought the five year warranty (waste of money) just to find out that only "certain" things are covered, and only if you bring it in every 6 months to have it looked at. I would have been happy to do that, but they did not tell us that, when he bought the ring. Then I lost a diamond on my ring, and of course it was not covered. I called and got a price to fix it, then my husband called and got a price to fix it, then I went in and got another price to fix it. All different prices, and each time they seemed to get higher and higher. The lady would not work with me, and was very rude. In fact, the first thing she said to me when I walked in to show her the ring was, "Oh we can get you another ring, and give you $2800.00 for this ring, on a ring that is $5000.00 or more." I told her it was my wedding ring, and that it had value, and she laughed at me and told me, "Well it is just a ring, and you could get a bigger one." She then proceeded to tell me that it would cost over $600 to fix mine, which was $300 more then the 2nd quote we got from them, and $400 more then the first quote. I did not want to fight with them any longer, as I had for years so I walked out. As I was walking out the lady tried to get me back, but I did not want to talk. Right as I was walking out of the store she says, "Wait I might be able to do it for the $200," but I did not care. Why did she not try that in the first place? It was like she wanted me to finance another ring, and give her my ring. I again said no, and then she said, "Well fine we won't help you, and do not come back." Just poor service, and I would never recommend them, nor buy anything from them again. I did get my ring fixed by a nice jeweler, who stands by his work for 5 years no question. I also bought another ring for a large amount of money from him, that I was going to purchase through Jensen's that day, but will never walk in...
