We stayed at the Legacy Vacation Resort in Indian Shores FL in February 2022. I can't say enough nice things about this business. First of all it's a “B Corporation” which I had not heard of before. It means that the company takes social and environmental concerns into account instead of just pure profit. So that was an unexpected plus. It was across the street from the beach, backed up onto the inter-coastal and had spacious rooms. The staff was excellent and answered any questions and even made phone calls for me regarding special requests that I had for restaurants. There are grills that you can use to cook your own food if you would like. You have to reserve them to make sure they're available but this was no problem. Someone will come down to uncover the grill and preheat it. Utensils are available to use and when you're done they clean the grill! The rooms are not cleaned daily unless requested for an extra fee, but linens and towels are exchanged daily if you want. Dishes and utensils are included. A dishwasher is provided and they give you dish washing detergent. A small sponge and dish soap is also provided. The only negative about the whole stay was there was no scouring pad for the dishes. My grandson decided he would cook one night. He knows little about cooking and even less about cleaning after himself. I couldn't get the pots clean with the sponge they provided. I asked one of the staff and they were able to come up with a pad for me, even though they insisted I leave the dishes and pots for them. The pool was good sized but not overly large, and they actually had a hot tub that they kept hot which I found both unusual for Florida and enjoyable! I was there with kids and grand kids and we had a two bedroom suite with two baths, included kitchen etc. If you are traveling with the family and plan on doing some of your own cooking, I can't recommend this location enough. I would definitely stay here again.

This was a decent place, for an RCI exchange resort. What really made the visit as good as it was, was the customer service. Gee was exceptional, and went above and beyond for us, before our stay, upon arrival, and during our stay. He even found coffee filters that fit the coffee maker in our room, since the ones we brought weren't the right kind. The others we encountered were also above average. We were grateful to have the upgrade from a studio to a one-bedroom, because it made our stay more pleasant. If you don't have children and want a quiet stay, I recommend asking for the top floor. The noise above us was disruptive to our peace while in the unit. The TV service was out of their control, but the guide listed only the channel call numbers/letters, and otherwise had No Information listed for every channel. Nothing for what was playing, and there was no TV guide available at the front desk. They did bring a channel listing to our room and tried to rectify it the best they could. The bed was beyond firm, but thankfully, we were traveling by van, and had our own foam mattress topper that made the bed bearable. The location was good, located on the bay side, not the gulf side. There is beach access within walking distance, but not if you're carrying a lot of gear. All in all, we enjoyed our stay, mostly because of their friendly and helpful employees.

This place worked out amazing for our family of 5. We have 3 older children and we had connecting rooms with a king bed, two double beds, a pullout couch and a full kitchen. This is a quieter place, great for families and centrally located between Madeira beach and Clearwater Beach. Beach access to Indian Shores beach is right across the street. Great fishing pier in back of resort that was great to sit out and enjoy the view or go fishing. Grill and fire pit available. Pool is smaller but sufficient and there is a hot tub. Staff was amazing and super accommodating. Liked having the game room with pool table for my older boys to hang out in. Everything is clean and nice. We felt like we had the whole place to ourselves even though it was sold out. If you’re looking for a smaller, quieter place with nice rooms, friendly staff and condo-like accommodations then this is the place for you! It is about 8-10 miles from Clearwater where there is a lot more action, so more of a drive than a walk. We are used to Ft. Myers Beach and this area was very similar. Overall it was a great experience and we would definitely stay here again!

Great spot to enjoy the sun. The complex offer superb accommodations with very personalized service. Beach access is short walk accross across the street. The facility has covered parking under the facility. The facility has a new pool which is heated to 87 degrees. There are gas grills available for use. You schedule a time and the grills are cleaned and preheated and utensils are provided. A gas outdoor fire pit is available to use on the deck overlooking the intercoastal channel. There is a trolley running with a stop in front of the hotel that runs between Clearwater and St. Pete's. The trolley is a good choice if you are going to Clearwater or the pier as parking and is very limited. A highlight during our stay was a manatee with a baby came into the canal along the complex. Several nice restaurants are hear the hotel. A great seafood restaurant is the Salt Rock Grill. It is an upscale restaurant withe reasonable pricing. All of their fish are caught by their own fleet of fishing boats. Room tip ... The best views are from rooms 208 and above

A very nice resort. The rooms were beautiful and spaceous with a king size bed and a pull out couch. There was a full kitchen and dining area along with a TV in the living area and one in the bedroom. The TV were set up for ChromeCast so you can cast apps onto the TV. The back balcony was okay in that faces the swampy area next to the resort so there wasn't much to see. The front faced the dock area with a bench in front. There is onsite laundry which takes credit cards and a nice pool with a spa. There is no kids area but there is a small lounge to get drinks and a computer. We found out that they do have beach supplies like chairs and umbrellas that people donate (us being one of them) so inquire about that before you buy or rent anything. Staff was very nice and view was great. Best part is access to the beach is right next door and restaurants are in walking distance.

Heather was absolutely PHENOMENAL! Along with all the other staff. This is truly what sets this rental type apart from other VRBOs. If you ever needed anything it was a text away. We felt very welcomed. We went week of March 24th - pool still a bit chilly to start but warmed up. Beach across the street was beautiful and easy to get to - so nice not having to get into the car. For the room my only suggestions are that the kitchen is so sparse - no kitchen shears/scissors and very minimal. This is nice but you end up having to buy everything- salt/pepper, foil, etc. They had nice reusable water bottles but no filters in the room so it was a bit of a hassle to fill up. Premium beach package was well worth it! All in all would highly recommend - again because of the service. We also LOVED Smuggler’s Cove golf half mile away.
