They come in anytime they want and you'll lose small expensive electric devices and when they come in your room with you there they look at every valuable item you have. We have not consistently refused housekeeping services. It's ESA's policy to give guest the choice to have housekeeping services or to refuse it. Due to the fact that house keeping requires the guest to wait outside while cleaning. This option will place a strain on the disable member, which is why we elected to only have house keeping give us supplies. Also, we have a permanent disable female family member who has intense, severe, neuropathy in both feet from being in a coma for three months due to a doctor's error. He perforated her bowels. The disable family member has intense pain from scar tissue in her abdomen which affects her stomach, intestines, and back, and causes painful bowel movements. Sometimes we can hear the twisting, stretching, and rumbling sounds of the food fighting it's way through her intestines. She sweats profusely because of this and she has no stomach muscles. Sometimes the bed is drenched and we have to change her sheets. Their isn't any feeling in her feet except for constant burning pain that feels like her feet are on fire, like she's walking on nails, with stabbing, sharp pins and needles sensations in her feet. One foot is more swollen than the other. Our disable female family member doesn't have the luxury of sleep. Sometimes she will go two to four days without sleep. Only falling asleep from exhaustion. Sometimes her prescribed sleeping pills do not work. Even when she does sleep, sometimes she's awaken from pain from her scar tissue and the never ending pain in her feet. Sometimes her nightmares, because of never-ending pain, are of her feet roasting in flames. We are awaken two-three times a night from her bloodcurdling screams and have to wake her up. Just earlier today 2:00am two different family members had to awaken her. It leaves her drained and it interrupts our sleep and we're tired and weary as well. She needs the use of a cane when she walks. Both feet drag when she walks, causing her to trip over her own feet. Because a nurse erred when putting in a pic-line she has constant pain in her neck and loses support of her neck muscles and her neck will suddenly drop forward, or loll to the side. When she was in the ICU, she was there so long that she had several infections and has an infection in her eyes, particularly the left eye, shes almost blind. She contacted a virus in her eyes. She has no cartilage in both knees. She is in constant pain daily from her head to her toes. Her medications help sometimes, but not all the time. Because of ESA's policy: we have to leave the room when they clean, we will not make her more uncomfortable. Also, when we checked in, we spoke to a worker at ESA, who informed us that we have the right not to choose this service of having constant room cleanings by housekeeping. That we had the option of swapping out our dirty washcloths, towels, linens. According to one of their staffers at the front desk, starting today around 11:00 pm, 6/15/15, they have revised their policy of swapping out washcloths and towels. We only get four no matter how many we give them. The two female family members are both diabetic, as well as the older male, have been told by doctor's and nurses for sanitary reasons that they need to use 2 washcloth for private areas. We have had our privacy violated by GM when he used his key to enter our room without permission as our family napped on...
Read moreThe receptionists were very nice and helpful until we called to REPORT PROBLEMS in the room that we stayed in. It seems like they did not want to solve any problems, but wanted us to pretend like the room was so perfectly cleaned. The bathroom tub did not drained properly. It took possibly 5-8 minutes for it to drain entirely and this was from taking a shower. Showering should not have taken that long to drain. The floor felt very sticky so thank goodness we never went barefoot, but you could feel it from walking around with shoes on.
We are a family of 6 so yes, there were enough room for us and our small children. The problem is that the sofa sleeper was so disgusting. The white linen were so stained that it had mold, little black things and food crumbs on it. It also had dirty, nasty, fast-food napkins stuck in the couch and also underneath the linen. The bottom side of the mattress was as filthy as it could ever be. It has rust and more mold and black stains on the underside. The springs were also poking through the mattress. There was no way that we were going to allow our children or ourselves to sleep on it. After going through that sofa sleeper, we finally call the front receptionist to explain what happen..all she asked us was, "what do you want us to do?" Of course we wanted a new room, but they refused since they claimed that the rooms were all full.
After long talks with the receptionist and coming to no conclusion, we asked to speak with the manager. She told us that he had left, but made false excuses because within 15 minutes we were able to communicate with him. I'd say he was very unprofessional as well. He said to us that the room we stayed in was not for a family of 6, but for 4 instead. We asked why did they advertised that it sleeps 6, but he had no real response because obviously it was a misleading advertisement. We asked if they could at least refund us partially so that we can continue to stay but go buy a couple airbeds for the night and he declined. Shortly after, he then said he will only going to refund us 10% back, which doesn't even cover the cost of an airbed and a pump. After arguing back anf forth for at least 1 hour, we finally got our full refund for the one night that we booked and continued our trip throughout for the rest of that night.
Not only did we ran into those problems, the 2 receptionists looked at my children really mean and dirty and my children were very uncomfortable. I will NOT recommend this HOTEL & LOCATION to anyone else in the future. Don't waste your money and go elsewhere. This location lack customer service and also does not want to be wrong.
I see that management has been responding to posts on here, but he does not need to do so for mine. There is no need for a false...
Read moreWhen I booked the room I indicated that I was handicapped and travelled with a service dog. When we arrived the desk clerk saw I had a walker and service dog and said he had to call the manager to fix a problem before he could check us in. Apparently, they had us on a third floor room and the elevator was broken. He said it would be about 30 minutes to get a first floor room ready. My husband asked if there was a bathroom he could use since it was a long drive to get there and was told that was broken as well. 90 minutes of sitting in the lobby later we were told our room was ready. The desk clerk had a strange sort of I'm bored with this job and don't care who knows it sort of expression. Not friendly at all. Was wondering if he was high on drugs. After settling into the room we went to dinner. When we came back, deciding to just relax and watch TV for the evening we couldn't get the TV to work. We figured out it was the remote. I called the front desk and informed them of the problem and was told someone would be down to our room in a few minutes. 2 hours later my husband went to the front desk and was given a new remote. Then we had a horrible nights sleep on a mattress that was so hard we may as well have been sleeping on the floor. In addition to the hard mattress making it difficult to sleep the noise from the room above us was ridiculous. It sounded like someone was taking a sledge hammer to the walls at midnight. The room looked nice and clean but some of the furniture was scratched up a bit. Also there were only 2 handicapped parking spaces in front of the hotel and one had a car backed into the space so his license plate was facing the building and he didn't have a handicapped plate or placard and the desk clerk just blew us off when we mentioned it like it was no big deal. But it is a big deal when a handicapped person whose pain level goes from mild to severe within minutes of standing has to walk from the end of the parking lot just to get in the building before walking down long hallways to get to her room. The hotel advertised it served breakfast. When we went to the breakfast area in the morning the only thing they had for breakfast was make it yourself packets of instant oatmeal and a basket of fiber one bars. Not exactly something to advertise about. If I wanted to make myself instant oatmeal I could have done...
