Fussy friends is my local pet shop, so I shop here often as I have 2 pups and a cat. Although most items are overpriced, considering online competition, fussy friends has a pretty good variety and stock, so youâre likely to find what you need in a jiff. The service however is a bit sub-par, depending on whoâs helping you. It seems as though only the general manager truly knows his product and will engage with almost every customer who walks in. I appreciate this as I work in retail as well. However, Iâm greatly disappointed in some of my recent experiences at Fussy friends, especially considering how much my girlfriend and I have spent in this shop. I recently had an associate there argue with me about exchanging my items. He was simply rude and dismissive, which caught me off guard considering that he offered to help me twice while I was shopping and then denied me at the register. He was less than helpful, tempered, and audacious even to question my line of work, repeating that I didnât understand where HE was coming from. When I tried to reason with him and ask his name to make our interaction more personable, he exclaimed, âNO, IâM NOT TELLING YOU MY NAME!â I was taking aback by his inhospitality, as when I see the GM, he is always so nice. I assumed his small staff would be as well. Although this associate ended up apologizing and executing the transaction after all, I am very uncomfortable spending my money here going forward. Delivering premium customer service is basics 101 and VERY important to me. I prefer to spend my money where me and my pets are valued, and the companyâs motive is to cultivate a culture where their clients are satisfied and...
Read moreSo I go to this place to adopt a cat. I get there and instantly seems as though they werent expecting someone like me to want a cat. I end up seeing the cat that I like. They tell me to fill out the application, so I did. After viewing my application. A guy named Gerry emails me to let me know that he is sure they have a cat for me. He tells me to go back next Satirday. So I did. Upon arriving this time, there was a lady inside named Evelyn who told me that there just wasnt any cats available besides the select few that were ready to be adopted immediately and tells me to come back in 2 weeks. So i asked, " ok, so how about this one that is available now? Can we go through with it?" Without saying yes, she says "well you have have to pay 300 dollars for the adoption fee". I say ok lets do it. She says " We may have to wait because we need to come out to your apt to make sure its suitable for the cat I say ok. She then tells me "we have the cat you want and it will be there in 2 weeks" she yells me to come back than and I would be able to adopt the cat. I end up recieving an email from the same guy that told me he was sure he had a cat for me, telling me basically that Im better off getting a cat out of someones yard because on my application supposeldy I said I would be having a cat outside. Which is not what I said. I KNOW BETTER. This was blantant discrimination and yes it shouldnt matter but I am classified as a BLACK MAN. I know what Ive experienced here amd I will be taking further action. This was WRONG! I've attached the...
Read moreOne of the staff members asked me if I needed help and I told them that I was looking for a quick release prong collar. He helped me look but they did not have what I was looking for. He continued to express that he does not like prong collars and I mentioned how my trainer prefers to use them and it works well for my dog. He asked âwhat kind of dog do you have? A pit bull?â Which I said yes and he then went on to say how âyou can hit those dogs over the head with a hammer and they will not stopâ to which I couldnât reply because it was so uncalled for. But he did say how âeven if the collar irritates their neck, they will not care because thatâs how they are.â These comments were wildly inappropriate and I just turned around and left the store because I didnât know how to respond without making a scene. If he disagrees with my training methods or disapproves of my dog because of her breed he should have kept his...
